We need to get him a new deal ASAP.

We seem to be having a love in from Sky which is unusual and Wilder’s names seems to be spoken about in high regard across England.

I believe his contract is up at the end of the season. Needs to be sorted as a priority.

Anyone else heard that the new owners are now more than happy to carry on with Wilder?

Bit early for this! Let's see out transfer window abd get to September first! How daft would we look, extending his contract, losing hamer, Anel, souza and with a few injuries end up scrapping at bottom of the table.

I believe in him, but lets calm it down a bit.

The 9 signings so far are very impressive. 100x better than Heckys recruitment. Every signing talks about how CW sold the club to them.

I 100% agree. I am loving what he is doing and the type of signing and type of play we are moving forward with.

Start of last season players just looked off the pace in terms of fitness. That seems to have gone too

Convinced if we never sacked him we would have gone up first season. We got close with hecky and imo Wilder is a much better fit for us than hecky.

Hang on…some don’t want him here.
Plus the experts on TikTok and Insta say he’s a dinosaur holding us back.

Let’s see how we are doing going into. December. We’ve had folk waxing lyrical in the past about transfer window success.,.the last being when we splashed on a certain injury prone striker. Now he can hardly get a game, and is mentally destroyed to the point he can’t score.
Wilders still getting pelters for that.

I've also been one who has supported the return of CW to the Lane, more than most. We seemed to be in a minority last season (understandable I suppose due to the dry bummings we were getting most weeks) but I always thought if we can give him a fair crack of the whip this summer to wheel and deal and build up a new squad then he would come good for us again. He knew what needed to be done and that we needed a complete reset. However, I don't see the immediate rush to give him a new contract. Whilst he has started this summer well and the recruitment looks great, he now needs to integrate the signings into a well oiled machine and get consistent excellent results. He does that and then maybe he deserves a new contract early next year.

We're basing alot on 1 league game , 1 cup game and the signings made.
I was sceptical about wilder return, and time will tell how the season develops . Hope he brings the success we've had under him previously .
As for signings they seam more targeted and based around how we want to play.
We don't know the influence of Taylor in the selections but fair to say there's some.
Looks like having a second opinion and pair of eyes across players has been a good thing.
Think cw is great at selling the club and team building in its broadest sence , this coupled with astute player selection looks for now to be a good combination.
Long term who knows , doubt he'll move anywhere by choice , owners may want the " big name" in time but for now we've a balance of continuation and a few fresh thoughts too

I can remember when WWF was advocating a ten year contract for Louis Reed.

Fortunately football doesn't work that way.

Wilder will get a new contract when he's earned it, new owners willing.

Let him carry on as it is for now, he's hardly going to be poached by another club

I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t too excited over CW’s return. His first stint was fantastic, but by the end he had burnt a lot of bridges, he was tactically inflexible, his (premier league) recruitment wasn’t great, and hadn’t done particularly well anywhere since leaving. When he came back I would’ve preferred either sticking with Hecky or getting a fresh face in.

Having said that, albeit having only seen the two games so far, he seems an inspired choice. we’ve some beautiful football, intense pressing, quick passing, but most importantly he seems to have created an air of confidence and optimism out of a squad that could’ve quite rightly still been shellshocked given the previous season’s shambles.

Long May it continue, in Wilder we trust!

It’s a bit of a strange comment that one, although I agree that so far it has been a good transfer window. We needed 9 signings due to contracts running their course or players moving on. In 2022/23 season if you look at Hecky and his recruitment he brought in
Anel (still in the side)
Tommy Doyle (loan)
Mcatee (loan)
Clarke (loan)
Khadra (loan)

Alongside the squad that we had that narrowly missed out on promotion the season before adding and creating a balanced midfield with Doyle and McAtee brought about fantastic loan signings and also the window brought in a player that is still central to “Championship Sheff United”

That team was adding to Wilders dream team in the championship. That’s why Hecky doesn’t really get any plaudits outside of some in Sheffield.

This recruitment drive is better than last seasons with a big profit.

Anythings better than last season. Best forgotten.

Now I was ( and still am ) not sure about CW coming back but one thing I find incredible is that all these signings are his. I’m not a Prince fan either but when things went wrong it’s always the other persons fault. CW called the ownership out last time and took his cash. Now these are all his signings. If we sell Hamer it will be tinpot prince etc … seriously it’s about new owners … nothing to do with CW. Grbic as an example …… useless Prince or brilliant CW.

Much of those loans down to the management team selling them the coaching and developing of all players.
