Not a chance that even half of that money gets reinvested . We need at least 3 forward players ideally and we weren’t even looking for 1
I think we are, Cannon was a name linked and Armstrong, ex Southampton, was also mentioned. I think we will bring in at least one striker before the window shuts. Loan or permanent. Have faith

I’m sorry but your posts are some what irrelevant to me that I don’t really remember an interaction between us? You seem to know me but I don’t remember you.

I have pointed out a clear fact that someone would understand with any knowledge of our football. But you make out like I’ve said something to wind someone up.

Ive backed my point over with a source even if somewhat unreliable. I would allude you to the point that whenever we receive a fee we don’t spend it in full. Hope this clears things up for you.
So you’re saying that PA would take 6 million from the sale for himself? Have you got a precedent for this? It’s ok, you can copy and paste the section of the accounts for me that backs up your claim if that helps?

Would you have him back on loan for the year if that was an option?
No selling high ceiling prospects to loan them back and develop them for someone else isn’t sensible. Either bring in a top end starting calibre player to play that spot or another developmental prospect (we won’t be able to sign one as good as Osula). Preferably do both

Let's be honest it's only 10m because of the PL appearances, he's about league 1 quality at the moment with no signs he's going to improve significantly.
He’s 100 times the player Cadamarteri is at your lot pal- he’s also being shipped out I hear

I know in the wider context of others leaving and us being somewhat short of bodies up front, this looks bad, but honestly, as a standalone sale, I'm struggling to get too upset about this. £10m+ could be reinvested for players ready to go now. I've always been slightly underwhelmed by Osula whilst acknowledging he "has the attributes", but it's always felt a bit "ifs, buts and maybes" with him.

If we have got around £10m for Benny , Bogle and Jebbo , we've probably spent over half of it . With Burrows , and Moore and OHare . Seams the remainder won't get us over the line with cooper or loan / signing on fees that we may have lined up . Perhaps the £10m with the remainder gets us cooper , Hoever, gilchrist and a striker or 2 . Loan players don't come without a fee unfortunately.
The next week will tell us if we've ended up better off or not.
Osula will spend most of his time sitting on Newcastles bench sad to say.
I wonder what Newcasle fans are thinking a couple of years after becoming the richest club in the world, they were probably thinking mbappe not osula .
Talented he may be , unproven he is .

Nobody seems to have factored Osula's role in this.

He may have pushed for the transfer ala Bogle or he may have had little or no say in the matter.

Knowing this would make a big difference to how I view this transfer.

It's a good fee for potential but whether or not it's a good sale depends on what we do with the money. Would everyone be moaning if we had sold Will and signed BBD and Cooper with the proceeds?

Nothing ever changes at Bramall Lane selling our best young talent for peanuts.

We are literally one of the most tinpot clubs of our size.

And we rinse and repeat our mistakes every single time it is beyond frustrating.

Selling Osula now makes zero sense what so ever yet again the clown show at Bramall Lane strikes again.

The sooner these buffoons are out the door the better and good riddance.

Ndiaye, Jebbo, Osula, Lankshear is the best group of academy strikers we’ve had in the modern era by such a wide margin it may as well be a chasm and the output for the first team looks like it’s going to be just over 1 season of Ndiaye, a few scattered appearances from Jebbo and Osula and under 30 million pounds that’s a poor return

Why do people keep saying £15m?
It's £10m plus add ons.
The add ons could be Golden Boot winner or Premier League champions.
£10m buys you half a Brewster nowadays. We'll not get that to spend either. I honestly can't believe people think this is good business
we can go ahead with the cooper and worrall buys now 7m newcastle will only be paying a third of the cash upfront but so will we for those 2 and keeper and a centre back and leader are more important for us just now than osula i think wilders made the correct decision we can loan 2 strikers

Absolutely.
If we are cashing in, it's ridiculous.
If he wants out, I'd take £5m for him.

It's a hell of a punt from Newcastle! He's not even nearly ready for the Prem so I wonder whether a loan to a Champ club may be considered
They're paying for his potential, which is extremely high
They can also afford to just chuck £10m at a gamble.

In reality, once he's at Newcastle, his value realistically will never drop below £10m

That’s modern football for supporters of all the clubs outside the top 10-15 clubs in the UK.

Apparently we can afford Cooper now. I'd like Worrall as well but Souttar, Mepham and Gilchrist could all come in on loan instead.
This all depends on the loans we have lined up I suppose.
If it pays for a Brooks or the Palace lad I'm fine with that, but if it's another sale just to afford Cooper then you have to question where the money is going

It is and it isn’t. It’s unrealistic to think we’d have them for the primes of their careers it’s not unrealistic to expect a better return than that more impact on the first team and a better financial return.
