Not sure about that. That was the era of around it when clubs like Wednesday were spending 10 million on Rhodes and Frank Lampards Derby spent 8 million on Martyn Waghorn

Personally think if we got Cooper, Worrall and someone like Liam Millar for that £10m I'd be chuffed to bits with that swap. I'm only basing that on figures quoted on here and online so might be bullshit and totally off with the figures. For what it's worth I don't think Newcastle would even consider paying £10m for him anyway.

I also remember many people being pissed off we didn't get Waghorn and ended up with Didzy at the time!

You also have to consider that a lot of thr time, forwards (even with those with potential but who haven't done a great deal yet) csn be sold for proportionally more than other players who don't play as a forward. The old saying being that putting the ball in the net is the most difficult job in football. Getting someone who can do that consistently doesn't come easy nor cheap. Hence the premium attached to fees. Potentially we could sell a forward with potential for an inflated price and use those monies to bring in players who haven't got that premium attached. Admittedly we would then need another forward, but that's up to the scouting team to produce.

yes agree with your point but if their prepared to offer 10m i think we could push em a bit higher looks like 50/50 on here as whether osula goes but im just leaning towards letting him go providing the money is used to bring 3 good players in

If Prince Adbullah is in charge we need sales. This has been incredibly obvious to absolutely everyone. Supposedly we need to raise £20m according to El Accounto. So we aren’t near that.

It’s tedious explaining obvious things to people.

I’m sorry but your posts are some what irrelevant to me that I don’t really remember an interaction between us? You seem to know me but I don’t remember you.

I have pointed out a clear fact that someone would understand with any knowledge of our football. But you make out like I’ve said something to wind someone up.

Ive backed my point over with a source even if somewhat unreliable. I would allude you to the point that whenever we receive a fee we don’t spend it in full. Hope this clears things up for you.
 
I know some on this forum aren't too high on Osula as a player, and to be fair, he hasn't given anyone much of a reason to rate him highly. I do though. I think he's very physically gifted, not the tallest, but fast and pacy. Quite a strong player too. I think that he has also got an eye for a goal, but his composure really lets him down. Improve that and we've got a helluva player.

Young, premier league experience, physically sound, and homegrown. The exact kind of player we should be keeping and building around.

Of course, he could well be shit. I hope not though!

I’d take some height of him. 5’9” myself, I could use an extra couple inches.
 
Drive a hard bargain Blades. Make em pay badly for them embarrassing us live on TV on a Sunday afternoon last September. 8 feckin nil... (shakes head in disgust for about the 10,000th time).
 
Shame if he does leave I’d got high hopes for him this season and leaves us desperately short up front if he does.

Would rather sell him than Hamer though.

Would think this means we’re not getting the interest we’d thought on Anel and Souza and tekkova is getting further away rather than closer
