He looked gangly and nota baldock type defender but you can learn that as a defender

What you cant learn is how good he was at driving us forward which he was very good at

The majority of fans made up there mind after the man city game where the bet right back in the world did him
Mate, if you think he's gangly u cant be talking about the right player. Built like a brick shit house.

He's got all the physical tools but doesn't possess a football IQ or positional sense. Can that still be taught or is it too late? What ever I felt he was definitely no worse than Trusty or Anel this season. Not a high bar admittedly but some team might find a player in him at some point.

What i mean is he isnt very good positionally

I would have played him midfield far better than ben osbore

1- Not gangly , quite stocky, poor positionally and a poor defender.
2- He was OK at driving forward - but a bit aimless and random.
3- It was a daft thing to do, and did cost us, but the majority didn't hold this error against him at all - he soon showed that like the rest of the buys/ loans last year he was a gamble, due dilligence on all acquisitions was so bad, he was not the standard needed at all.

He really wasnt

I thought he was good when he played , which he was criminally under used

Defensively was not good but I still maintain if we played wingers, him and Bogle would have done the job well albeit not at PL level. He always felt a bit out of control whenever I saw him play.
Have the loans all officially ended yet? Assumed they didn't until the end of June and then we might see notices of players returning to their parent clubs.

I bet we have a worse LWB than him next season

He's...... odd defensively but definitely has some talent and athleticism

I thought he should have played more and that Wilder's treatment of him (and McAtee) was poor towards the end of the season

Never did a full backs job and got touch tight to the attacker. Difficult season for him in a shocking side. He did not impress me at all but GLTTL.

I'd genuinely forgotten about this guy. Laugh out loud bad. Maybe he could be half decent with a talker next to him to tell him what to do.

Would've expected him to go back to France. But he seems determined to prove himself in the Championship. Good on him.
I think he's a pure wing back (not a good enough defender to be a full back, and not dynamic enough to be a winger) which makes him expendable in a system with 4 at the back which seems to be the formation Wilder prefers now.

Agree, wouldn't fancy him at left back in a 4. Much happier with the two we've brought in.

We were told by fans from his former clubs that he was fat and unfit when we signed him. He didn’t ever get fully match fit for us in an entire season, and his efforts at warming up and training were laughable. I think he will drop out of pro football pretty quick, like Moose. Shame as both had talent but didn’t have the discipline to try hard or stop eating pies.

He was not a good signing by a longway. But felt he deserved more minutes than a lot of players, I think his stamina let him down a lot as well. Playing is a settled squad, I can see him improving as a player.
I watched him against Rotherham in his first game last season and you could just tell he was an awkward footballer, nothing came naturally to him.

The best wingers in the modern game tend to either be rapid or skilful he’s neither and he can’t defend at all so he’s not a good LB. McCallum looks a significant upgrade on him already

I gave up on his 20min into a preseason game. Was it against the German side?
Anyway, he was hopeless and only slightly improved over the season.

I must have missed the part last season where we were either playing with full backs, or playing against opposition where being "touch tight" is in any way a good idea
