I can’t say I’ve been massively impressed with him whenever I’ve seen him and thought Leicester shit the bed when they bought him.

Souttar has barely played any football since tearing his cruciate three seasons ago. He was fairly slow, and not particularly good, back then. What makes you think he’d contribute to a strong centre back pairing?
So he wasn’t good but Leicester paid £15m for him 18 months ago 😂. I’ll listen to them not you.

This would go down as one of the worst loan signings in recent times... even worse than Woodburn

Trust me he would cost us more goals than he prevented.

Yep, they thought he was that good that they only gave him 1 start in the Championship last season...

And there aren't many other examples of teams spending millions on players who have turned out to be rubbish. You are completely correct.

On the bench as Leicester had Vestergaard and Faes arguably the 2 best centre halves in the division 😂

But you know more 😂

He wasn't even deemed good enough to make the bench for large parts of last season either.

I’ll stick to other people’s opinions than yours. You’ve a record so far that you’re keeping up. 👏

Tbf if you thought Egan had a slosw turning circle, Souttar will make Egan look like a jetboat.

A good header off the ball but gets caught out often with balls along the deck

Egan was £3.5m at his age when he went for £15 rising to £20m. There is obviously a player in there.

I would prefer others but wouldn’t be against him coming.

Right now I would take anyone

personally i think souttar would be a decent signing but do understand fans concern about his mobility but wilder must rate him but if we do get worrall mckenna might be a better option with their forest connection

I don't know if he'd be a good signing or not, barely seen him in last couple of years. But he can certainly head a ball. Something we'd forgotten how to do last season.

We need someone with the future in mind Vestergaard & Faes are shocking at prem level, if he can't make their championship side then ,no

Would be more comfortable with him in the middle if we play 3 x CB, as we appear to be playing a back 4, not for me.

Shame as would have suited for past 5 seasons formation but not now.

Not sure if Souttar is the ‘answer’ but certainly looks like we ‘need’ more bodies
I'll make an assumption based on that loan going through:

If we are prepared to let a player, who is capable of playing a position that the 1st team squad is short of cover for, go out on loan without making a 1st team signing, that player was never getting 1st team minutes no matter what.

Souttar’s scoring record is terrible for a big bloke.
Aye decent for Australia, not as much for Stoke. Maybe an issue with their setpiece taker.

Surely can play the back stick / knock back across goal role though that Egan used to do. Him and Keiffer would need some watching and bring a bit of fear to defending teams which we could use a decoys for mixing corners up as well.

yes think its an area we havent scored enough goals from corners and set pieces plus now weve got players in who can deliver quality balls in to the box burrows inswinging corners from the right especially

Not a fan of this signing if it happens. He always seemed slow. Great at heading at set pieces but that surely is not only why you sign a CB.
