I have a proper soft spot for McB - delighted if true. And my lad who has only been to the Burnley game last season, his is the only name he can remember.
Be careful Rodders, apparently early traumatic events can have unpredictable consequences on young'uns, especially when Blades' related.

No, he doesn't.

Because people keep entertaining it.

For fucksake if everyone just stopped replying to him he'd be gone within a week.
Hi Stegosaurus here,

People reply to my comments because I have something important and interesting to say, rather than just the same old obsessing over Wednesday or Leeds.

It's not important, I'll give you interesting, but only in that you clearly only post to be divisive.

Does anyone on here think that McB could make a good centre half if needed?
Bringing him on when we're under pressure certainly gives us a defensive advantage at set pieces, but I'd imagine his positional sense and tackling on the ground would be terrible, also can't imagine him being very patient in build up play

The first thing to say, nobody else appears to have made a serious contract offer. The Leeds, Rangers thing, never materialised, as of today. If you are a good championship defender, the last thing you want to see, are crosses raining in, with big Kieffer and Oli Mac bearing down on you, particularly if you also have O'Hare and Hamer nipping past you for the flick on's, knock downs.

i doubt mcburnie will be an automatic choice and will more likely be used as an impact sub for the last 20 - 25 minutes and that could well be his best role i think if were starting 2 up front moore and osula will be the first choice pairing

Wonder what song the PR team are gonna use this time round, they've already used return of the mack last time he nearly left. Maybe Slim Shady - I'm back, they could replace Slim Shady with McBurnie, rhymes and everything.

I'm going to regret interacting with you, but how the fuck are you equating the Segunda division with the Champ?
Not that i want to stick up for, or in anyway support, the forum troll...

... but i thought exactly the same as you. The I looked at the OPTA Quality rankings for football leagues around the world... this is the average ranking score for all the teams in that particular league:

Depends how much stock you put on that arbitrary ranking / scoring, but this metric indicates there's little in it between the Champ and Segunda Division.

That said, i don't watch much European footy, and certainly don't watch lower-league European footy, so anyone that does may have a VERY different, much more valid, opinion.

Anyway, regardless, I agree with the general point. Braithwaite did very little in English football, went to Barcelona and averaged 22 games a season across 2 years (barely different to McB in terms of games played), scored a total of 5 goals across that period, then jacked when it got rough. He then went to Espanyol, did fuck all the first season, tried to quit, failed when it became apparent noone wanted him, so came crawling back, had a purple patch of a season, then jacked again earlier this month - last week in fact - and is now apparently playing for Olympiacos...

...the Greek Super Lig being 28th and a good 6 and a bit points behind the Championship in the above OPTA rankings, FYI.

Be interesting to see how Wilder accommodates both Moore and Mcb.

Is Mcb happy to be an impact sub coming on for last 30 mins.

Evidently so.

Rotate? Helps keep Oli Mac fit or even get to proper fitness rather than having to bring him in to play through injury.

La Liga 2 is probably not far off the Championship. It'll be more technical, more theatrical because, well, that's how it goes. The spread of clubs' capabilities in LL2 is narrower than in the Championship but a game between a mid-ranking LL2 side and a mid-ranking Championship side would be pretty even.

Teams in LL2 this season include former European competition winners/regulars Málaga, Deportivo de La Coruña and Real Zaragoza as well as recent LL sides Tenerife, Elche, Granada and Almería.

The Spanish 2nd Division is a much more competitive league than the Championship.

Last season, for example, there was a spread of only 31 points between the team which finished top and that which finished bottom (22nd in that division).

Allowing for the difference in games played (42 vs 46) that points difference in the Championship is the gap between Leicester and Preston - who finished 10th.

In 2019-20 there was only a 10 point gap between Elche (who finished 6th and ended up being promoted through the playoffs) and Deportivo who were relegated

Hope he resigns. When fit, I know, he was really good last season and that was in the PL.
