I wanted to be nice because I love Hamer.
He's a great player .
But when it comes down to it you lot are a bunch of arrogant Yorkshire no marks.
And we will be passing you next season .so have a lovely time getting fucked every week, Hamer or not your just not good enough.
Won't be back until January when your relegated. So save your wank pad.!

We will be promoted next season, you won't.!

I think you've said this before....

O'Hare was very much liked at cov, we're just surprised he didn't go to a big club, instead of going sideways/ backwards and staying in the championship for their next four years.
You’ve not been in the top league for 20 odd years. We get it, you nearly finished in the playoffs last season, you’re no longer homeless, and you continually lose your best players because you’re fucking shite.

Nobody cares 🤷

Not an adult amongst them. Can't the Cov diehards admit that they're a tiddly little bunch of also rans? When was the last time they rejected a reasonable fee for one of their 'superstars'? Haven't they realised that they're now our official feeder club?
Keep it up muppets, you produce 'em and we'll take 'em off you (assuming we like them). You'll always be looking over your shoulders, just in case the sound of a flapping chequebook gets louder and louder.

First Coventry fan i've seen put a levelled message out. Congratulations.

Hamer was like our Berge and Ndiaye last season. We cashed in before the contract expired.
O'Hare is like our McBurnie and Egan. It's expired and now we've lost for nothing.

It happens. Disappointing when it does. Don't get the salty comments all over twitter from you all, and the guy above you here. It's not our fault. Don't be mad at us.

It was a shame Hamer didn't truly shine last season. Some good moments.

He was the best player I've ever seen at Championship level both for us or another side. If he stays, he'll dominate the division again.

Even better than Gyokeres who's probably in the top 5 strikers in Europe and about to move for £100m.

We've turned down multiple bids for Ellis Simms in the regions of £12-15m.

I think someone will take punt on Hamer this summer. But a punt is what it will be….

For all his admirable creative efforts in a truly terrible premier league team, he was defensively way off the standard last season. He needs to be fitter and he needs to find the right team to balance his weaknesses.

Obviously I hope he stays - he’d be a great watch in this midfield at this level.

He's a really good player. I remember when Sunderland came to our place and he led the line really well. A good first touch and decent movement. Looked very mobile.
They were the best side to come to Bramall Lane that season (for a period) but had a man sent off after half an hour and then we capitalised.

Was surprised to see him join you guys for such a modest fee and would have fancied him here.
Unfortunately our ownership had better ways of investing the Ndiaye moniee - a bunch of cheap young foreigners plucked out of farmers leagues. They contributed nothing and now we'd like rid of the lot of them.

Yorkshire no marks 😂

3 of the last 5 seasons in the premier league. The last time Coventry were even remotely relevant those shit holes Dion Dublin is looking round on the tele were new builds and he was still playing football.

Evening gents.

Long time no speak. Always love reading these threads, especially when it's about us.

He's one of my favourite players ever. Grew a connection with the club like very few before him. Whether that's his celebration with sunglasses away at Birmingham, slicing his head open in a match for us (hence his scar) or performing on stage with Tom Grennan at Radio 1 Big Weekend. He's an iconic player for us.

A great player with great feet and a a relentless press. Before his injury he was the perfect attacking midfielder besides a real lack of goals. He gets an ACL injury and comes back scoring more goals in a matter of months than his entire career before.

He was well and truly phased out towards the end of last season and it was clear Robins knew he was gone. His only full game since Feb was against Manchester United at Wembley where he looked at home (until his penalty miss...).

Obviously lots of bitterness. I can almost guarantee Hamer (should he remain with you) gets a heroes welcome when we play and O'Hare will likely get booed. Had he left for £10m, no one would have bat and eyelid.

We will move on and have already spent a lot of the Gyokeres money again this summer. We hope he and Hamer move on (sorry) and we have another war chest of £15m+ to spend in sell on fees.
Well thats great but what i can not understand is if he is not up to the mark why is there so much bitterness about him leaving you . If he is crap I would have thought the majority of fans would welcome him leaving . Or is it sour grapes ? in that case he must not be as bad as some of you are telling us . I think he has joined us because he feels there is a better chance of playing in the top league with us than with Coventry ,after all we have been there 3 years out of the last 5 not that i wish the Prem league on anyone who as not got at least 200 mill to spend on the squad . You just have to look at Forest who bought over 20 new players in and just survived by the skin of their teeth . So if you have dreams of the Prem I SUGGEST YOU SELL THE GROUND . Oh sorry you have only just got one have you not .

Callum O'Hare & Gustavo Hamer were 2/3 years old when Coventry were last in the Prem...

I guess O'Hare will be accompanying hammer on his very Very regular visits the CBS next season, blokes never away from the place.

Well thats nice . We have Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire at our matches on a regular basis to .

Sour grapes, he's not crap.

We have dreams of PL and are doing it properly. We've bought cheap and sold incredibly high. Our crowds are up, and will be averaging about 27,000 this season.

We will never do a Forest.

And so you should have dreams ,like most supporters do . I dont think many clubs COULD do a Forest ,they were very lucky not to fall . Luckily they had 3 teams who just could not live with in the Prem league below them . If they had dropped down I think they would have been in the shit big time . My point is the Prem is not a nice place to be in but is handy if you are a yo yo club because of the money . You have to be mega rich to get established in the prem Very few clubs have the riches needed to survive it . It is a closed shop much rather have the Championship and i have always said that for many years .Last years experience just underlined it ,when you see clubs paying nearly 100mill for a player plus outrages wages that players demand 80 clubs in the country just can not compeat .

I've not read this yet but I'm guessing sideways move, just for the money, he's hot and cold anyway, plays 1 in 4, Sheffield are crap why's he going there etc all feature high on their comments?!

You seem quite level-headed, but this notion that Coventry will go up & stay up is an odd one. I know you haven't said it, but seems a lot of your fans believe it... it's a nonsense. The PL isn't what you guys remember. It had changed dramatically in the few years since we were relegated in 2021 and re-promoted in 2023.
We might mock Forest, but realistically that's what it takes to stay up there. A huge bag of cash. You guys don't have it.

I honestly don't remember all of these "buy low, sell high" deals you guys have done either. Hamer & Gyokeres were pretty good deal for you. Who else?
I might be wrong, but I'm not getting Brentford / Brighton business model vibes from Coventry.
I do think you're going in the right direction, but you'll be competing against parachute payments to get up and then billionaires playground if you eventually manage it.

And congrats if you average 27k this year. You haven't done that in a long time. We have done it several times in recent years and will do so again.

And dont forget we are a two club city

We won't necessarily go up but we should be in the mix. We've spent a lot of well earned money in the past 18 months and will continue to do so once we get the signing on fee from the £100m Gyokeres move to Arsenal 🤞

We're not following the Brentford model. They spent significantly more of their owners model than we did. Our new owner hasn't spent a penny and isn't planning to.

So a ccfc comes on and talks honestly and that's the best you can do..fucking idiot

Amazing how a trip out to Wembley after thirty seven years has got their fans all giddy and delusional, watch out Man City they are coming for you.
Bitter beige twats. How is it our fault they can’t hang on to their better players?

They can get fucked
