The problem we always have is that we are aces at replacing like for like poorly. While I wouldn't be devastated at losing Egan, the bigger issue is losing another leader with Baldock already departing.
Whilst his on field captaincy can be questioned, it's obvious that he is a big influence in the dressing room and someone the young'uns look up to.
Looking back:
- Warnock to move on? Perhaps. Robson to come in? Neil? Is that you?
- Decent money for Blackman? Maybe. Jonathan Forte in on loan. FFS.
- Bye bye Deano. In you come Jostein. What’s up with your wrist?
There’s one for every era.
So, unless Worrall for instance is sat in reception having signed up, we should be keeping Egan and even then, we can still find a place for him as we know Anel will be this summer’s Berge anyway.
