Done a little more reading like Roysview. Seems like he is amazing in the air and going forward. Seems to be exactly like the Bogle but left footed. It’s a good free and a good start for us.

Seems like every journo is putting it out there at the moment so would imagine he signs come 1st July.

Not when your local rivals have lured sprinkler boy away with a promise of being ‘massive’ and a huge pay rise.

Feels like a loss to me.

I heard that the sprinkler head got a new 2 year deal though. Apparently Wilder thinks it improved our squad by keeping Lowe out. #itk
 
McCallum is at an age where he can still improve a lot. Wilder will be thinking about Enda Stevens. He was 27 before he decided to be a quality PL level LWB

I hope we get this done on a free. I wouldn't be surprised if he started more games than Burrows should we sign both

Good age and decent on the ball...
but poor defensively.

It sounds like the Bogle comparisons are reasonable.
Bogle, for a brief purple patch, looked the business. Became quite physical and good defensively. Then got injured, returned and back to square 1. Recurring theme.

But Bogle could also be effective at RMID too.
One thing Wilder has shown is that he can build and organise a solid defence from lower level players. He can also improve defensive players.
I like this move on a free.

Me too. Hopefully some improvement left in him given his age. Already experienced at the level. Should be ok. Hopefully he's viewed more as a project / cover for now, but that's probably takeover dependent.

Totally agree seems like a good addition ....there is however one nagging little doubt...why are Norwich letting him go?

Another tremendous signing last season - God, there was some rubbish signed wasn't there? The Prem equivalent of that fateful day when Utd announced Johns, McGinty, Brandy and the worng McGinn brother under David Weir.

I thought Traore would have been over the line as Nantes had option to buy and were reportedly pretty happy with him.. but alas nothing yet.

Although I still feel he could offer us something in the championship anyway.
 
Given we paid money for Lowe, I like the fact that we’re potentially taking someone who another team most likely paid similar money to what we spent on Lowe.

It feels like we are not writing money off in a sense.

Plus good age, can get better.
