Player Suggestion David Brooks

I was really sorry to see him leave though feel the correct decision was made when thinking we won promotion using the money from the sale.

I feel terribly sorry for him as he seems like a nice kid who’s got an amazing talent and then unbelievably shit luck to go with it.

I don’t think his body will allow him to ever realise his full potential. He’s missed more football than he’s played over the years what with glandular fever, injuries, then the cunt cancer. He’s had absolutely shite luck when you compare him to the likes of Mousett who wasted his talent.

Spending uniteds money with my head rather than heart suggests we need someone who’s capable of 50 games who’s got time to reach their full potential and not a desperately unlucky lad who’s trying to save his career. I thought he was ineffective and slow whenever I saw Southampton. I only watched them to keep an eye out for DB.

holgate was slow and inaffective when he was with southampton but we still brought him in i think david brooks on loan would be a great signing

Everyone’s allowed a different opinion.

Mine is that the signing would be a massive risk that we can’t really afford. We’ve got a squad full of players who play half a season or less. We need more reliable players to come in
 
yes your right ben all about opinions i think he would be a good signing you obviously dont bearing in mind most of our deals this summer are likely to be loans think we could do a lot worse than bring david brooks in we will see gonna be an intriging summer utb fto

well thats a distinct possibility but i would think we would be interested in him on loan other interesting thing is that a few pig fans on porktalk are wanting them to go for him on loan but surely he would come back to us than them

I could see Leeds going for him too. After their necessary sales to avoid financial oblivion, they'll need some creativity.
 
Can Southampton do better? Depends how much there willing to spend.

If they aren’t interested I would hope we are having him as a main target for us.
 
If we managed to replace McAtee with Brooks I wouldn’t even class that as weakening the team. I don’t think it will happen, but I’d be quite pleased if we could get him.

Going to have to be a lot sales, keep seeing figures of around £190 million of debt, most of which would have been cleared had they been promoted, I don't think our debts from last few seasons ever got as high as that.

Played mostly on the right for Bournemouth didn't he? Would be ideal if we are going to start playing with wingers/wide forwards next season like we did in those first few matches under CW.

I've not seen Brooks since his injury and post cancer but I'm guessing that yes not the same player as before, based on how he's struggled for match time at Bournemouth who seem happy to sell him. They'd not be doing that if it was the Brooks we remember first time round?
 
if david brooks is available for a loan move from bournemouth i would be very suprised if we didnt try and bring him in ideal replacement for mcatee if were looking at that type of player again just below premier league standard for me but would be a very good signing at championship level
 
Hes the type of player we should be looking at, still young but experienced, and he definitely deserves a chance to get back into regular football.

Unless Southampton turn him down I can't see him being available

You'd think Championship is right for him this season at least. He did well at Southampton but I would imagine it's unlikely he'll go there.

Would anyone in the fanbase really be unhappy if we got Brooksy back?!

I've been desperate to post a new player suggestion but apart from free transfers and requesting Man City loans, who the hell knows what's going on!

You'd think if he was available he'd be on Wilders radar

I'd be very happy to have him back, showed he can do a decent job in the champ last season
