Outgoing? Anel

If lazio, atalanta and napoli truly all want him then even we'd be fucking stupid to just accept the first offer.
They all want him in. The same way we would want him
They think they can get him on the cheap and they probably will

So his pathetic performances are costing us yet again

Wonder if we'll hear anything about his move with the announcement of Archer going back to Villa. He's not been in any of the training videos but it's gone a bit quiet in terms of rumours about his sale.

Be nice if we could sell Anel and Souza now however interest is currently at a pretty cooled level. Likely to happen towards the last week of the window. (Things could easily change). Hard to shift both at the valuations we have anticipated so expecting us to be low balled eventually. Fingers crossed their reps remain high on the continent and we get money back on Souza and 12-15m for Anel.

Any idea why Souza is training with the team and Anel isn't?

Maybe only me on the board that would like to keep Anel. Yes he was pretty poor last season, but wernt they all.

Anel is a cracking Championship player with bags of experiance.
I take the point. From the clubs perspective, are we going to get someone young, free and with good experience/performances at Championship level with a season in the Premier League to learn from. He was brilliant in his first season with us but my god, he didn't half fail miserably making that step up. I can hack players simply not being good enough for the elite league, but it's just his attitude. There's players, better than him, that have come back from such a massive divide between themselves and the fans, but I just can't see it happening for him. He was dug out by the manager and dug out by the fans.

If we got twenty for the pair we've done well
Trouble is the club's coming in for them will be looking to. Squeeze us knowing we don't want them

Also some of those clubs will be Italian clubs that don't have any money to begin with. Probably looking at loan with obligation to buy in 5 installments type of deal...

If we've set high prices on these two in the circumstances that really is daft. We're on the back foot here. Zero bargaining power. We should be setting very reasonable prices on both from the start of the window and focus on simply getting them gone. 15m combined before the season starts would be great. I bet we end up getting no more than that

think we will lose money on souza maybe get 7m at best but anel were bound to make a nice profit on i would put a minimum 12m on his head

The clubs who might want Anel aren't clubs who will loosely chuck 12m about. Italian clubs mainly. Maybe some in Germany and France. Nobody in PL. We'll fuck about till the end of the window and end up getting about 7m. Souza, absolutely no idea. A loan to Spain seems most likely to me. Maybe one of the promoted teams are absolutely terrible and need an absolutely terrible defensive midfielder to make their midfield worse defensively

cant see anybody in the premier league buying him after last seasons performances my guess is a mid table italian club will be in for him but we shouldnt just give him away and dont think we will different mindset at the club thesedays

Different mindset I agree but it doesn't always serve you well. Sometimes you have to be ruthless and sell. If a player is crucial, fair enough. But Anel and Souza are far from it. In fact both are holding up the arrival of better/more suitable players, Worrall in Anel's case

Don’t want to him play for us again. I’m never usually this pissed off about a player. But him and his Dad have absolutely no ounce of professionalism.

suppose both may leave on a loan with view to buy deal at least that would get em off the payroll and enable us to bring another couple in as somebody said on here more than likely be the last week in the transfer window

If there's a feeling among interested clubs that they (Souza especially) will leave no matter what in this window - even on a loan deal - that weakens our position massively and underlines how important it is to set reasonable asking prices as early as possible. We can't expect it to go well if we do anything else

Got a feeling he'll be in the starting line up against PNE. Hope he goes with a nice, fat fee attached but I'm not holding my breath.
