Outgoing? Anel

I wonder if Berge, having been told to move to a premiership club for his international career, will now move on again from Burnley?
Related with us then signing for Burnley surely he has some king of relegation clause in his contract. Wonder if Kompany fancies him at Bayern

Anel looked a lot better playing alongside a 'stopper' in Egan. The decision to go with Holgate over Worrall in Jan was mystifying and it was no coincidence the defence conceded >100 goals including some real tonkings. Robinson, while committed is lower Champ level, Trusty wasn't close to Prem level either.

Even though he missed a large part of the season, I'm surprised more can't see the importance of Egan and are more concerned that he may be leaving
that was forests decision seems worrall was all set to join us on loan in january and was fuming when they blocked the move and sent him to besiktas mind still find the holgate signing baffling hes useless

That's why I question Wilders judgement. You can't be right all the time but signing Holgate and making Anel captain were two very bad decisions, as was ostrocising Wes and taking too long to bring him back in.

If you shine a bit of light on the Holgate and Anrel decisions, I think they are understandable.
We were woefully short of options in defence due to injuries and shopping at a point in the season where there are only limited players available, and when we hadn't got a bean spare to pay.
I think he tried to re-engage Anel with the captaincy to make him feel wanted, improve his performances, and increase his value for the close season when we could sell. It didn't really come off as Anel got worse not better.
Holgate may have been the best he could afford at the time.
Both played most games in the run in.
He definitely made a mess of the Fodders situation. Fodds thought the deal offered was not as good as he could get elsewhere, but was performing well in my opinion. Just the odd error but generally trying his socks off.
Wilder treat him just like he treat Duffy and clearly learned nothing from that particularly unpleasant fuck up..

Maybe they think they can get him to play like he actually gives a fuck then.

Talented? Yes (but not as much as he thinks he is). Attitude? Heart of a pea.

Haahahaha

Why didn't he give a fuck ?

He seemed to give a fuck last year when he was our best CB by a mile

Absolute drivvelll

I've no idea why he didn't give a fuck. He should have but he clearly didn't (for the mentally challenged, I'm on about the season just gone in the PL, not the season before in the Championship).

Absolute drivvelll.... ? Totally agree. He truly was absolute drivel.

Absolute drivvelll.... ? Absolutely. He was.

You've just made up he didn't give a fuck not me

So any player that has a transfer rumour doesn't give a fuck and If you do slide tackles and beat your chest you do give a fuck

You do talk out of your arse sunshine. I really can't be bothered conversing with an idiot. They only bring you down to their level.

big mistake with holgate he was hopeless at southampton we must have been able to bring better in surely and making anel captain was pointless he had thrown the towel in 2 months before so yes i question wilders decisions the grbic signing was just the icing on the cake

Aye
The “ unpleasant fuck up” where Duffy got big balls Bertie & subsequently never played at the same level as SUFC were ?

I recall re Wes that he had made several errors both before Wilder arrived and during the early weeks of Wilder's time, an example was letting one through his legs v Luton at home. Every match fans were slagging him off and it's now come to light Wes wouldn't sign the contract offered, hence I suspect Wilder signed Grbic. Sadly Grbic hasn't performed but I don't recall Wes' form as of the required standard neither.

He did better in the last few weeks of the season when no doubt he was motivated to play well for the next move which looks like West Ham.

As poor as Wes is/was, he’s light years better than Grbic. But I agree we need better.

My brother slagged him for being lazy all last season too.
He hated him for putting a shift in only when it suited him.

I said he'd be off to Spurs after the League Cup game. Brother said nobody would pick him up because he sulks too much and only played to his potential every other week.

The PL season has proved my brother was right, not me.

I guess when we were winning most games, and in a lower division, he could walk around and let games pass him by. Can't do that in PL

That’s just absoloute waffle

He didn’t throw the towel in , what evidence do you have to say he threw the towel in ?

Same goes for Vini Souza ?

Is it cause they don’t go around starting fights with there own players or attempting to break peoples legs like Robinson did with palmer

If argue Robinson trying to get a red card every week is chucking it 👍

Face it Max, you were never going to get Long Throws position.

Sounds like Berge

To be fair to Wes, I'd have more than been happy had he stayed for next season but for whatever reason the club and Wes couldn't agree a deal. Not so sure we will get better either but there is better that we can get if that mkes sense!

Ahh the old i'm not conversing because I've ran out points and don't have a Scooby

He was shit for months. Really bad. I'm not one for slating players, but Anel should be ashamed with his efforts this season.
