Thank goodness you said this - I was starting to become optimistic and even started humming doing the ironingWHY WHY WHY........................................are you grasping at straws??
We were down before a ball was kicked.
Not because of Hecky. And it wont be because of Wilder.
Lack of proper investment pre season is the reason.
Yes there will be ,hopefully, new faces this window, but theyll all be cheap gambling options. None of them will be proven PL players.
We are going down. Stop deluding yourselves.

So says the optimistLast game of the season....
United need 3pts to guarantee survival
Spurs need 3pts to guarantee a top 4 finish
0-0
It's quite incredible that we had two points from 17 games last time we were here and yet we returned more in 20/21 than I think we will come the end of this season.

We’ve had 2 ‘winning patches’, we’re just spreading them out and keeping them short. We've not had a "winning patch" like we did in the 20/21 season so far... imagine the state of this board if we manage that in the next few weeks!
"Imagine the state" of a forum of a winning team? It'll be happy that the team is winningWe've not had a "winning patch" like we did in the 20/21 season so far... imagine the state of this board if we manage that in the next few weeks!
Yes, you're right sorry. WBA was match 22. So we are a bit better this season then that seasonI've just checked again.. I misread Man Utd away as a defeat.. but that still totals 8 points. I've got man City away down as our 21st match unless I'm mistaken? WBA was match 22 I think?

It's not happening unfortunately. We can afford to lose about 6 more games. We still have 6 of the top 7 big teams to play.
You'll be lucky unless it's spoons!Payday tomorrow. Beers on Foxy on Saturday.
If Forest & Everton do get further points deducted (working on the premise of 10 each) and all teams (except ourselves) maintain current form, then we'd need 30 points to survive.
16. Luton 30pts
17. Sheff Utd 30pts
18. Everton 29 pts
19. Forest 27 pts
20. Burnley 22pts
Obviously a lot of "if's and but's" but I don't think its impossible for us to get another 20 points this season.
Even if Everton don't get another 10 deducted.. 31 points gets us above Luton.
A couple more decent incomings this JTW and we've got a chance!
I thought Burnley and Luton got 80 plus?!None of the promoted clubs managed to get to 30 points.
A sign of the times for the Premier League.
Mad that a measly 33pts would have been enough to pip Forest.None of the promoted clubs managed to get to 30 points.

For the money they spent in comparison to our breakeven approach Burnley's performance was arguably relatively worse than ours. Not least because that game against them at the Lane epitomised our season: we didn't take our chances then we were punished for poor defending and abject goalkeeping. For all the shit thrown our way, Burnley or Luton never looked likely to get to stay up despite all the points deductions being thrown around.
"relatively worse ", think I'd go a little higher "incredibly worse than ours" considering they've had the dosh and knowledge of 6 out of 7 seasons in the Prem. For the money they spent in comparison to our breakeven approach Burnley's performance was arguably relatively worse than ours. Leicester and Southampton will get more than 30 points, the reason being is they know what a Premier League footballer is.None of the promoted clubs managed to get to 30 points.
A sign of the times for the Premier League.
Some truth in that.Leicester and Southampton will get more than 30 points, the reason being is they know what a Premier League footballer is.
Ipswich also know what a Premier League footballer is, but they might not have the cash to compete.
Sheffield United don't know what a Premier League footballer is, so they buy Championship players whilst in the Prem, League One players whilst in the Championship, and League Two and Non League Players whilst in League One.
The job of giving them grit and bollocks and determination and attitude is then given to a screamy shouty manager.
If it doesn't work it's embarrassing
If it does work it's boring
