And the hamstring thing returns, RND n BBD now on the latest list.
What is it with Utd and fucking hamstrings!!!!???

Has anyone confirmed it was a hamstring injury yesterday? Looked like he was holding the front of his knee

Agreed. Hope he's had some news by now to hopefully suggest it's not as bad as he probably feared. Poor bloke. Probably natural for him to expect the worst after last time, but if its the other hamstring then he could easily be back playing before the end of the season touch wood

Hope it is only 2/3 weeks sure he has the v best wishes of everyone at the club that he makes a quick and successful recovery.

can only assume his pitch side reaction was due to what he thought the injury was, so much must have gone through the poor guys head

I need to go and listen to the presser because Danny Hall words it differently and it doesn't sound as good.

"It was a disappointing one with Rhys Norrington-Davies," Wilder said. "We're waiting on another opinion regarding him but I don't think that will come back to us in the next couple of weeks. There's a couple of bumps and bruises we'll assess and I'll keep under wraps."

Yeah doubtful just a few weeks out.

We'll probably only just have a recovery plan set in place in a couple of weeks.

A couple of weeks until we find out it's MONTHS more like.
Gutted for the lad.
And us.

Saved creating a new thread.... With him playing at QPR last season although maybe not a one that we all look at and think an inspired keep but looking at his availability for QPR last season he started 33 matches out of 38, being subbed once and out of the starting matches only subbed off 5 times. At the level we are out and trying to keep a squad together, do we think he is worth keeping? I know we have McCallum and Burrows for that position but with Burrows he isn't the greatest at defending. It could be the case we look to play him further up the pitch especially if Gus leaves, giving a couple of options at LB and maybe a loan LCB for when we go with a back 3?

He’s still contracted so yes.

If Gus goes stick Burroughs higher up out of harms way then sell him on as the new ‘hot English winger’. Win-Win. 🙂

If we can move RND on, I would do this.

A fit RND is levels above Burrows at actually defending. Unfortunately it's the other way round going forward. If only you could combine the two.
That was my thought process as RND's availability is top drawer and having him and McCallum there would be good. Then with Burrows play him possibly at LW. least he doesn't have to track back as much and if we do switch to a 3-5-2 we have Burrows for the LWB position but need a LCB on loan as RND/McCallum probably not the best for that position. Although QPR finished below us in the table they usually are a mid-table Championship side, with the expanded playoffs option next season, I think we need to be looking at availability as number 1 priority. It's alright having players that are outstanding but if they are injured for weeks at a time and can only play 60-70 minutes max, it's not really what we need on a thin squad.

No. Best of luck to the lad but we need better.
