He won't get long I'm afraid. Things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get any better
If I'm him, and I see my best players getting sold for peanuts, I wouldn't want long

Someone has got out of the bed on the wrong side this morning and can’t poo through having too much red meat. Relax.

He wasn't a popular choice to manage us and some fans couldn't wait for him to fail.

With limited backing, a last ditch attempt to sell our best players, an injury crisis, club under embargo, issues with the training pitches, two terrible takeovers, he's been an ocean of calm.

A practical realist with a very good knowledge and love of the game.

We didn't get promoted due to having the best players or loads of luck. We got promoted because this season has been a team effort on and off the pitch. He's won numerous close games and despite the moans about his tactics he outsmarted most other managers.

We were so consistent because we had a strong system, strong tactics and really analysed the opposition. You can see how well drilled the players are of and on the ball.

We may not be a team to excite the fans, but we are one who relentlessly goes about getting results.

Make no mistake, this is an incredibly difficult league to get out of. Look at some of the players West Brom had on the pitch tonight. So many teams struggle for consistency though. Teams can beat each other but the successful teams can do it week in, week out.

He's done one heck of a job.
I would also suggest that he is not afraid to Innovate this coming season.

One of Wilders more clinical decisions, was moving Basham from midfield to centre back. As the Derby fixture suggests, PH is not too concerned about pushing Basham further forward in a role he used to be familiar with.

Was Basham’s contract extended to a two year renewal for a reason, or just a fortunate coincidence?

I'm a little surprised as he was extremely critical. But perhaps not having him face punishment also brushes it under the carpet as i'm sure he'd make a lot more detailed comments if he was hauled over the coals for it

It surprised me as well but maybe Nathan is right and his comments have been taken onboard. Which makes a refreshing change if they have been.

I think that’s a highly optimistic view for Nathan to hold… given previous experience I’d doubt that they have. But let’s see

I don't believe for one minute the PGMOL will have taken on board anything PH has said about the management of time wasting as borne out by the booking of the Burnley goalkeeper last night after 11 minutes. That was a statement of intent. It will be interesting to see how Wes is treated on Sunday by one of the worst refs in the league Attwell.

The FA couldn't bring any charges against PH because he said nothing that would bring the game into disrepute. He didn't accuse the ref of unconscious bias although there was a case to be made for that in allowing Spurs players to constantly surround him yet Mcb gets sent off for speaking to him. He did call the decision appalling and that was borderline in terms of being charged but I suspect if there was any sympathy it was with this decision and they decided there was not enough evidence to ban him.

Spurs loving pundits and media apart it may well be there is a lot of support for what PH has said amongst his fellow EPL managers and the last thing the FA and PGMOL want to do is make PH a martyr so there is probably an element of trying to sweep the issue under the carpet hoping it goes away.

Unfortunately it won't as the directive was supposed to cover all elements of time wasting not just goalkeepers and within 24 hours the inconsistency of application is revealed when Arsenal take 26 seconds for a corner and no action is taken. As with all new directives they tend to be enforced rigorously at the outset and then peter out during the season. As usual the Blades are the first to lose out as we did against the Spuds over the Lundstram toe and second phase incident. It won't be until one of the top 6 managers complains that we will see any effort to improve on the interpretation of time wasting rules. Thats just a fact of how the EPL, FA, PGMOL and media operate to effect change and as new boys we just have to grit our teeth and get on with it.

Jim I make it up as I go along White referred to Hecky's post match comments as a "Rant".
How come no recrimination then I wonder.
If I met Jim he'd learn first hand what a rant is.Fucking goon.
No surprise to see Hecky getting support from his peers.More managers need to say it as it is.

Thing is nowt will change though, despite the support Hecky is getting for his comments.

FA and PL officials are wearing tin foil on their heads.
If something does change then fair enough.

It would be like me though asking my arse not to give a shit.
In my humble opinion.
Ya never know though.

something smells with premier league referees and has done for a few years now the bottom 6 clubs will get nothing from them whenever their playing the top 6 clubs and its not gonna change anytime soon

All this fucking time wasting etc is all down to the referees for allowing it in the first place, they had the power to stop it.but did fuck all to stop it. Hecky is 100% the referees are/have spoiling the game.

Wonder how many times he had previously been caught or had any previous bans

I haven't got a clue I must be speeding on there all time!
I mean what makes it even harder to understand is the number of times you read "No further action was taken" etc at the end of Police Interceptors when a crime has quite clearly taken place and caught on TV, little scrotes getting away with stuff left right and centre.

I would be fuming if I was him, trivial offence, especially when in comparison to others that are dismissed. They trying to make an example of him as he us a “name” and imagine the magistrate to be a supporter of the dark side

You don't receive an instant ban from driving if doing 57mph in a 50mph zone is your only offence.

"Heckingbottom argued a ban could impact his future job prospects"

He can walk from Barnsley to Uddersfeeled surely? ;)

I was caught doing 71 in a 60 stretch of smart motorway. I had the choice of three points or a motorway awareness course. It went nowhere near court, and neither would this have if it was an isolated, first-time offence.
