It would incredibly risky to plan for RND being available for or able to play in every game. It will take him a long time (probably the end of the season) to build up strength, conditioning and match sharpness. As shown on countless previous occasions, players coming back from long term injuries are very prone to picking up other injuries. I'd much rather he be eased back in, even if that means Thomas playing more games. That said I'd draw the line at playing Larrouci or particularly Osborn there - I'd rather pick someone out from the crowd.
I'd play Osborne in front of Thomas every time

Fair enough.

Personally, Osborn wouldn't get anywhere near my 18 and would be first out of the door. He's never been a player.
Osborne, for me is a typical substitute, can come on and play a number of positions but isn't probably good enough to be first choice in any position,I appreciate it's all about opinions but to say he's never been a player is over the top

always thought ben osborns best position was lwb hes far too lightweight for a midfield role but for me hes still only a mid table championship player at the best
Only left back position he should be playing is back In the dressing room anything above L1 IMO. Bet he pinches himself everyday he wakes up being a premier league player!

Blame Hecky for wanting to keep em all! Thank fuck PA said no to Stevens and Sharp.
I don’t mind Osborn although he’s been plagued by injuries.

Keeping Fleck & not Billy made no sense. I’m not saying that because I think Billy should have stayed, I don’t, but there’s no consistency with the decision making or reasoning.

That's because we are making it up as we go along. There's no long term planning as the owner wants to sell and we don't have a director of football.

This window should be all or nothing. We should either be bringing in premier league first 11 players to try and keep us up or accept we are down and play all the players who will be here next year.

The only reason to sign BBD should have been because we are bringing 4 others in to have a real go at staying up. If it's just him and a keeper thats not moving the dial and he's a waste of money and taking up a spot of someone who will be around next season

Still think a few more need to go out who wont be needed, any of these I wouldn't be fussed over..

Thomas (sent back)
Fleck
Coulibaly
Jebbison

Gone quiet aint it. Not good. I know no game this weekend. Nothing moving in or out. Rumours on certain players put the heebie jeebies up me. Feel we'll only have BBD in for Wet Spam Sunday week.

Just reading in the Star of blades players weekly wages, whoever sanctioned Fleck, Norwood, Lowe, Basham, Wes & Thomas on £20k + wants sacking, I know they got a rise for going into premiership but.....

Isn’t it according to Championship Manager? It’s guesstimating, though we’d probably not be shocked if we compare to the average Prem wage.

Feels like some of our fans are living in the world of 10/15 years ago.

The average PL wage is 60k a week or so. No agent is letting players sign for 10/15k per week in the PL. I would imagine the championship wages would be 20k p/w or so also, as a rule not an exception.

The tv money has inflated wages across the board. It’s why so many clubs struggle financially even with parachute payments In the championship - because you’re committed to 2/3 year contracts paying out millions to players.

Do you always believe in the reports from clickbait websites?

On football manager. I've just won the fa cup in the first season and qualified for the Europa via league position too so it's not exactly realistic

Par for the course then with the Star I guess, though signing some of those I still think was unnecessary

How much do you think it would have cost to replace those 6 ?

Anyone expecting a hell of a lot done in January must have short term memory. Hardly anything gets done by any club in January.

Several out and one in. How much more did you anticipate in the first 42% of the window ?
Apart from the Diaz loan, I'm not aware we had signed anyone else ?
As for players leaving, sending Thomas back to Leicester and loaning out youngsters elsewhere. That's about it.

So not much to show for 42% of the time passed, let's hope the next 58% is more productive.

Is it too much to ask for a permanent signing that would improve the first eleven ?

Agreed there is only one in, but two loans out/ cancelled and a sale of one youngster and loans out.
Most windows are like this and very few PL clubs have done anything more or at all.
