Crowd guess for Yeovil

15,262 is still 3k more than anyone else in League 1 averaged and 2 or 3 times more than most. I'm a bit fed up with how it's gone this season but I still can't understand fans who could have gone but simply chose not to.

Everyone I know watched it at home.

I had pizza and it was more entertaining than the match despite Yeovil's blatent red card fouls.

Its like last week, v Preston, i know of a blade who came over from Croatia and left at half time!

I recall being surprised by the amount of fans leaving with a good 20 minutes to go. I've never known anything like it, since i've been going regular very few Blades left until the last 5-10 minutes, if we were pushing for a winner/equaliser Blades fans had faith in the team, now no one has faith in anything to do with United.

More so evident that i;ve wanted a home shirt since Feb and they have had a whole 0 in stock. now I can't even find anything other than xxl away shirts!

Blame it on a combination of factors.
The main one being the leadership from the top.
If he doesnt give a fuck why should anyone else?

people have lost faith cos the clubs going down mccabes shitter.

nothing more, nothing less.

i watched it on tv and im not ashamed of that. im fed up giving mccabe my money for him to not give a shit and take the piss out of everybody (managers, players, fans, the lot) connected with the club. if we dont sign some decent players before next season i wont be going. and believe me, im not on my own. breaking point has been reached for thousands of fans.

if he thinks next season 20,000+ will gleefully hand over their hard-earned every game just to watch a 3rd division relegation battle, he's even more deluded than i thought.

Pretty much spot on there and I agree with Ken why should I give McCabe more of my money for him to put in his back pocket.

I pay my money to watch my club. I don't like McCabe and I'm unhappy with the way things are going - but I can't just switch my support on and off like some seem happy to do. I'll keep going in the hope it will get better.

If everybody thought like that we wouldnt have a club
Off the top of my head Celtic Man City and Newcastle fans have done that and achieved regime change in the last 15/20 years.

I can see both sides of the argument and fully respect every individuals own viewpoint btw.

Maybe people are saving their coins as if we get to wembley its another expensive day trip ?

Well that's confirmed who's the biggest club in sheffield well done stay aways . Brentford have also lost six play offs but I bet there ground will be full monday and not half empty .

If the pigs got that crowd in the play offs it would be interpreted as proof of how badly their club had been run or how much their fans had suffered or the effect live TV has on football or whatever.

Obviously for us it's the same old...just proof we have shit support.

It's a simple equation. Look at our league status, our cup finals, our Euro glory, our player sales, our dramatic and crushing disappointments ove the last few decades and then look at our average attendances over that period.

I dont think any club matches us on under achievement for our average gates.

Shame so few even amongst our own give us credit.

It's just possible there are other valid reasons the attendance was as it was other than having shit support.

We barely have one now.

We would have less of one, if you want to stay away thats fine but dont start having a go when we are not spending money on wages transfer fees, loan players etc, we need money through the gate to keep us ticking over . Supporters that pay money to get into BDTBL are the life blood of the club. We are where we are and deserve to be in this division we need to get out of it pronto.
As for regime change they are all queuing up to take over from Mc Cabe get real FFS

However you look at it, it's a bad figure, simply because we've averaged greater all season. When Wednesday were in the play-offs, they got 28000 at home. The difference being is that they had a surge to get into the play-offs whereas we have thrown away the season with a whole range of bad decisions and go into them in a slump. Still, 15000 is a bad gate for us. It's not a dig at the fans (I didn't go, I can only make weekend games), the attendance is the symptom of a club which, in my opinion, is so badly managed and fans so poorly treated that I'm surprised anyone turns up at all, so well done to those who did go.

The sooner KM leaves this club, the better. I agree with Pedro Verde that no-one is queuing up to take over, but that's because of the mess that KM has brought the club into. It's a catch-22. Massive debt, massive losses, no assets left on or off the field and dwindling resources and income..... you can have a slice for £50M.

what do crowds make?

crowds make fuck all.

typical pig post.

The guy putting in £1M/month is.

His decisions might be why we are where we are but don't under estimate his finacial clout.

No offence here, but if the club isn't run for the fans, then what's the point in having a club?

Attendances are vital. If there are 100000 SUFC fans in Sheffield, or whatever, and only 15000 turn up, that's 85000 that don't go. If crowds make "fuck all", then basically we're saying that fans are not important to the club, and therefore shouldn't come into the equation. I entirely disagree. Crowds mean everything, absolutely everything. Players come and go, so do managers, chairmen etc. Fans pass on their loyalty to their children and the link remains. Start to dismiss them as meaningless then you will get to a point where fans probably do make "fuck all".

so if 85000 turned up how many points would we get?

Assume we got the same amount, does that mean the fans are fuck all? I'd rather have 85000 Sheffielders in there watching a 1-0 win against Yeovil than 15000 Sheffielders watching the same.

The short termism expressed by our fans is worrying. If I don't bring my niece or nephew, the chance of a Blades win probably doesn't change. The chance of there being a Blades in the future probably does though. If I tell my niece and nephew that they mean fuck all to SUFC, that all that matters is the points, regardless of if anyone is there to watch the Blades or not, then I'm sure they'll find other things to be interested in.

I don't believe that figure. I suggest he's lying at worst, or being economical with the truth at best. There is no reason is should cost £20M a year to run this club as it is now.

Wednesday have more fans than us.

Who cares?

I prefer being the underdog.
