Crowd guess for Yeovil

I'll be there at The Lane but can't make Yeovil. I applaud those who are. I remember being one of maybe 1200 (?) at Ipswich. The mood was pretty similar to now and few expected us to prevail. Somehow it made the night all the sweeter. Celebrations were loud and long, I recall.

One of the games that we talk about most often in the pub.

Memries - Katchouro scoring in bright sunshine despite it being an evening kick off, Andy Walker looking like he was never going to stick it over the line, Alan Kelly being unable to move for most of the match, Taricco snapping after the game and the one that always gets brought up - Steve Sedgley having a last minute free kick against a 'keeper who could only stand still in the middle of his goal, bending it over the wall and..........after what seemed like a lifetime..............crashing it against the post.

Happy days!

Obviously we ruined it in the final.

Fjortoft says that Kendall took the players away for a few days after the semi and they were looking forward to preparing for the final. However, Kendall banned them from training and made it a team bonding (i.e. drinking) break. As Fjortoft tells it, they had to sneak out of the hotel with a football to have a secret training session!

About 15,000. Plus me!

After watching season-long dross, I can't understand anybody missing the biggest game of the season.

Plus, need to get my mind straight as my mum died on Tuesday night (flowers, donations etc. via PM :)) and need to get a sense of perspective.

UTB.

Because season tickets were already bought before the season. Paying more to watch what's currently on offer is scandalous!

How embarrassing that we've sunk to such a level where a game against Yeovil is a big game. Bad times.

No, you're right. I should just be thankful we've still got a club to support.

Think there will be 20,000. Anyone remember how many we had last season at home against Stevenage. I know the situation was the other way around but still?

24000-ish

We've got 19000 all season on non-games, now it's a massive game, the price is right and the sun is shining!

The guesstimates on this thread are just depressing. I know it's been a thoroughly depressing season, but surely all those able can give it just one last hurrah? You never know, they might just surprise us all.

0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-2, 0-0. My last five games.

I'm hurrah-ed out :-(

Wow, you've just reignited a long forgotten memory. The team actually came to the Isle of Man. I was about 13 at the time and my parents took my brother and I down to the airport to meet the team off the plane. I think I remember giving Jan-Age one of those little Corinthian football figures of himself (I painted a Blades kit over the Boro strip).

As you say, Kendall didn't leave the hotel for the entire trip.

Bollocks Grafs - sorry mate

UTB

Thanks for that, Kenilworth, and others via PM. (Although I did wonder what I'd said now when I saw 'Bollocks Grafs'!)

Yeah, it dragged on for over 2 years - vascular dementia & Alzheimers - 6 months in that shithole NGH followed by 18 months in a care home. Visited nearly every day.

I've looked to United to provide a glimmer of relief, hope and optimism.

That went well, didn't it!

My last hurrah would be at Wembley *if* we spawn our way through.

watching it on the tellybox. this is crap. i hate tellybox football.

theres nobody there. my guess is 12. not 12,000. 12.

kitson you bellend

15,262 with about 1,100 from Elbow-vil. Can't say I'm surprised at the apathy really. My last hurrah flew out of the packet some weeks ago...

15,262 apparently.

you gotta admit, that shows quite a level of disinterest!
its almost as if weve all given up...
