So buy for next season now? What's the point? , season is over
No No lets buy 31st August so they have no pre season, no time to settle and look out of sorts for a few months. So buy for next season now?
January 2024 or 2025 ?I'll go for 21st Jan, thus wasting 3 precious weeks.
Exactly. I’m genuinely serious that we should mourn the season now and start the relegation grieving process. Then use January/July to build a highly competitive Championship squad that walks into next year confident and well-drilled.No No lets buy 31st August so they have no pre season, no time to settle and look out of sorts for a few months.
If the price isn’t inflated due to the fact you’re weakening the selling side mid season, then yes, sure.So buy for next season now?
Oh I agree. We still have to be smart, but I’d rather we spend on players for a Championship promotion push now if they’re available, than pull the shutters up completely. We left our business too late in the summer and have paid the price. If the price isn’t inflated due to the fact you’re weakening the selling side mid season, then yes, sure.
But I can’t recall any that don’t have that extra added on. Plus we’re a tough sell for this season.
Do the ground work, get the players identified and lined up and if you can get the deal done within our valuation then do it, if not target 20 points and let’s get our heads down until the summer.
