It goes to show, you can drop points against anybody, even rock bottom.

Another take on this is that we'll probably be playing Bristol City in the Third next season. Depending on summer panic-selling, they (and Peterborough) have proved there are no piss-poor teams coming down. Throw in Wolves or Barnsley and we'll look back on this season as one where the Third has never been poorer.

I'm baffled. Why does this give us hope?
Meaning if Hull (2nd) drop points vs relegated Bristol C (24th) then the same could happen to Brentford and Bournemouth.. It's difficult to get over the line towards the end, let's hope they falter.
It would be nice if we go into the last game within touching distance and a slim chance of 2nd

Or....the championship is piss poor in terms of quality this season with no outstanding teams with many of similar quality to each other.
Then you've got teams like Forest - quality (on paper) all over this pitch and even on the bench. I wouldn't say the Championship is piss poor, more baffling and intriguing.
Stand by what I said, bart. I think we'll look back on this season as our 'big chance' in terms of paucity of opposition - certainly poorer than last season and there certainly haven't been Southampton, Norwich etc. like in recent years.
I doubt theres a clause. And if there is. It will be pretty pitiful.
Lets face it. We couldnt afford to keep him & Hull knew this. They had ours pants down.
I hope we win today. But even if we do i cant see the teams above us dropping points either.
Quick word about Bristol City. Be interesting for them next season. Would anyone take Stead back? Maybe as a replacement for Kitson?
Went to reduce the wage bill.
Not sure of his contract was but 2 yrs left at 12K/week saves £1.2M
No brainer to sell
I bet Kitson & Higginbottom are at least on a combined 12k a week.
I bet we havent saved a penny.
I also think the Championship is improving and the gap between them and League One is widening. Watched Forest vs Brighton this easter and thought both teams looked better than us.
if that were the case(which I am sure it isn't) one will have been with us 4 months and the other 9 months. Both will probably leave at the end of the season. Still a big savingI bet Kitson & Higginbottom are at least on a combined 12k a week.
