Do we either

A, stick with Wilson until the end of the season in the vain hope that he turns it round
B. sack him, bring in someone else until the end of the season in the hope that the new manager bounce is enough to turn it round

What is absolutely certain is that at the minute something is not right, and we need to go up this season, but does anyone know what the answer is any more?

Sack him, even if we didn't go up this season under a new manager, Wilson doesn't deserve to be in his position anymore.

Poorest League 1 in years but we've still struggled to beat anyone. Home performances have been worst in years. Awful to watch - negative, slow, no passion, no skill. Even if we managed to go up the current team would get battered in the Championship.

Whatever division we are in we need a new manager and about 8 new players.

It sounds vague but I'd appoint pretty much anyone as we are at rock bottom. A fresh face, voice, idea would surely bring the most slight improvement.

We've got a team of pussies. I doubt whether the current crop would respond to an arse kickin!!

A very average league has made the Blades look half reasonable, but the truth is starting to show now. I cannot make my mind up whether to blame Wilson or McCabe. Wilson is operating with his hands tied behind his back in terms of sales and signings, but equally does keep playing the same way and it is obvious to a blind man that it ain't working.

If he is sacked, you have to ask who is out there that would a. want the job, b. be a good appointment. With McCabe's track record of ambition less appointments it wouldn't bode well. Unless of course Robbie Di Matteo still has Kev's number!!!

Gut instinct nothing is changing and can I really be arsed to drive 120 mile round trip on Saturday to watch turgid football from a team that is incapable of scoring and is completely lacking in balls or ambition?

But that is the problem, even if Wilson goes the pot is empty and McCabe will not fund any kind of rebuild, it will have to be done on the cheap which is why we are in the mess we are in.

Best thing I heard on the way back on P&G was Paul Walker saying to a Blade, how do you know Danny Wilson doesn't motivate his players?

Ummm

Sack him, another season wasted on seasoned crap pro's when we could have brought through some youngsters and not gone up. Nevermind, everyone else knows best.

We boast about having a grand academy and a production line of talent.

The clue is there, Sack that gutless bottle job and bring in a gaffer that has had success working with youth. Then spend a year or two gelling a team of youngsters with the odd experienced head in there.

Long
Maguire
Whitehouse
McFazdean
Ironside
Miller
Kennedy

There is a list of 7 young lads that could have a huge future in the game if they are given the chance.

Players left at the end of last season and weren't replaced. Got to blame Wilson for that. Of the four major players we lost we didn't replace Williamson or Quinn. Hell we played a striker on the wing for months.

Hmmm, not sure. I think the extension of Doyle and Cresswell's contract to get under FFP rules show how desperately close to the limit we were.

Mind you, he's made enough signings to be judged and condemned by.

UTB

Not sure blooding youngsters for 5 games would achieve owt, lets face it, if we don't go up its cause the whole squad ain't good enough, there's a few in that 11 that should look in the mirror tomorrow and feel embarrassed to be called a professional footballer !

If by some miracle we do go up in the present format it would be a disaster

I think we need to strengthen new manager and rebuild in this division

Who would you appoint???

Ohhh Mr. Warnock :) - I know its unrealistic but seriously, when he came in we had shit for finances, a crap bunch of puffs for a squad with a few bright sparks of talent that could possibly be nurtured into decent players. Sound familiar? With him and Morgan behind him... hmm most of you won’t agree but I wouldn’t mind him back, give some useless fecks we have a kick up the arse as well.

I would have thought the answer was obvious. You have to do what two managers have done (Bassett and Warnock) get players in who over perform and who are fired up and if you are lucky you get a team that is motivated. The rest is probably up to the manager's motivational capabilities. Clearly Wilson has none.

He should be sacked. I'd sack him now if Warnock would come in, maybe a director of football next season with a McCall/Morgan double act if they would work under that arrangement. Wilson is a failure. His record is awful. He doesn't kick the balls but he does dictate the method of play. Look at this home record 360 minutes without scoring a goal - absolute garbage, absolute disgrace.

Having just witnessed another gutless performance by a bunch of no marks, managed by a weak, spineless excuse for a manager Words do fail me!
Shit and bust yes we are both!

Sack him now, for the last 3/4 months we've been served up with the most under-motivated, gutless, sh1te performances at the Lane since Robson.

As bad as we've been it's still not too late to save the season, even if we don't make top 2 a new manager could at least get us on a roll going into the play-offs.
