When is it time for the tennis balls?

The fans can scream and shout, when there's something to get excited about on the pitch.

It starts with the manager, and the team, then some fucking effort..

Turning ourselves into a B list Coventry City before one single chant against PA or PH, that's a stretch even now as we break records for being wank at football..

It's over for this season, which is a sad but true relection of the money league we are in and I'd change the manager if it carried on, but only to prevent next seasons capitulation and demoralisation of the playing staff because if we go down playing like we can't get results before a ball is even kicked, that takes us to league one.

Hard to believe it, but there seems to still be a fair few folk who are happy enough with the current owner and won’t have much bad said against him.

So we are nowhere near the shoes off/tennis ballls levels yet.
Personally speaking…I’m not that convinced he’s in much of a rush to sell up, and I will tell you why.

United world….he’s got others he will be left to pay for but without the actual focal point to the project. Some might say cash cow…and there may be something in that with United’s revenue going into a pot to support the others, though by reading the accounts it appears to suggest not.
Whether creative accounting could disguise it I have no idea, but in essence what’s the point of the rest without the blades?

We take a beating against wolves, the crowd will start to turn.

Will get messy at the back of the kop, almost guaranteed if the players dont put a shift in.

Note: anything less than a hammering is OK, so long as they've had a go and tried..

Can only see an early goal conceded and a comprehensive defeat. Unless we can get a couple of own goals or something freak such as that.

Are we really that bad that we think they'll wipe thier arse with us before a ball is kicked..

It's all well and good setting them up to defend for 90 minutes at Arsenal, but this is home to wolves, with respect a middling also ran* at best we should try and create something because defending and giving them 80% possession won't work.

Wake up Hecky, go for it and if we lose, well then we lose trying to fucking do something other than shit our knickers..

*No disrespect, they're better than us, but nobody will be handing them medals any time soon.

We have done every fucking game - they haven’t
Really? We’re you there at the home game against Newcastle at full time, having given it your all for 90+ minutes? Didn’t think so. ( if you were in that tiny minority, then my apologies).
Thousands and thousands of fans preferred to flounce off home during the second half. I wasn’t expecting a glowing rendition of support after such a shitshow, and I’m no advocate of ‘happy clapping’, but a demonstration of solidarity on such a bad night isn’t a lot to ask. Basham for one, such a fine servant of our club, deserved so much better from us, on what was probably his last Premier League showing at the Lane in a Blades shirt.
I do agree that our support in general is superb, particularly given what we are having to watch. I also think that our team needs our fans more than ever right now - the players are at an extremely low ebb of confidence, which is badly affecting our performances. If you want a stark example of how confidence affects form, have a look at the England ODI team - players who’ve won multiple World Cups currently don’t look like they know what they are doing, simply because they have temporarily lost self belief and collective confidence.
My point is that now isn’t the time for futile and embarrassing protests . It’s time for everybody associated with the club to step up to the mark, and do everything humanly possible to win a football match. If we can get a win or two under our belts, restore some confidence and pride in our performances, and play to our potential, then we have a chance. That’s worth fighting for, isn’t it?
To be clear, I also said that the team need to turn up and show the same fight. I’m not abdicating responsibility on their behalf - at the end of the day, it is their actions that will determine our collective fate this season. Let’s help them to get that right, and they will then in turn help us to start enjoying our football again.
Up the Blades.

No we're not that bad, we have decent players who are at least Championship standard, probably upper Championship standard

but they play as though they've just met up with little plan to create chances.
and we lack composure and the ability to control and ball and make short passes to feet, it's all desperate long ball, just boot it clear.
This might be down to a lack of confidence but the reality is we perform more like league 1/ league 2 team.

When I've seen Wolves this season they've always looked high quality in general play but they lack penetration and struggle to score enough.
Suspect tomorrow our tactics will be to pack the defence and I do expect Wolves to struggle to break through.
It will become like an attack v defence training exercise where we rarely venture into their half and don't have much possession.
Pretty confident we'll be outclassed in general play but the score will be respectable, think we'll lose 2-0, maybe even 1-0.

After the match Hecky will say we've played well and on another day could have got some points but he'll
say we can't feel sorry for ourselves and there can be no excuses, at the end of the day it's a results business.

Always pisses me off when he says that....I'm thinking "forget the results", lets focus on performances first
and playing matches like we're San Marino, where we hardly every venture in numbers into the opponents half and hardly have possession is not acceptable, We shouldn't be comparing ourselves to Arsenal, Man City etc. We should be comparing ourselves to Luton Town.

Luton have worse players than us and have spent less, think they've spent 20 million net compared to our 30 million net.
If anyone has seen any Luton matches, it's similar to our relegation season under Warncock, they make it tough for their oponents
and clearly have tactics and belief they can win every game. They go for it. So why can't we perform like them?

Half of our first team would be out for 6 months with a bad case of tennis elbow

How can you still be a big Blade who have stopped going to matches but carry on moaning about us?

"As a heartfelt supporter of Sheffield United, I've decided to stop injecting my £200 a year in return for a seat in the stadium, until some unconnected foreigner starts giving us £200,000,000 of his in return for a whopping financial loss".

To be fair I did try buying me and 2 kids a season ticket but couldn't.

They aren't interested In going to see us getting beat every week and I'm loathe to part with 100 quid to take us all.
