He didn't get £4m. It was £1.8m. Still a ridiculous, obscene amount of money. You are right about it being unbelievable. Football is so far removed from the average fan its sickening.

Absolutely mate. I retired in April after over 40 years in an enjoyable but pretty stressful job. I have a good pension scheme (which I obviously contributed a lot towards), and I'm not moaning. But it would take me over 60 years to not quite match the £1.8 million you're saying he picked up. And this is for being ultimately unsuccessful. Bonkers!!!

Couldn't agree more. It saddens me to the core how much its changed. I love United but absolutely hate what football has become. Wilder thinks he's one of us and in many ways he is ,but he has been corrupted into believing he is worthy of such riches. It's their world and their expectation. An entitlement. It is beyond reason and so far removed from our lives, it breeds contempt for their utter greed.
