I think a win for for Brentford against Swindon would be good for us tonight. Another loss for Bournemouth will surely do them in and hopefully Yeovil will drop a cod against Crawley

HH.

would be good for donny to lose when they next play also, but really if we start winning we should win the league. just need some goals to add to our great defensive record.

Make that 2

Swindon, Bournemouth and Yeovil all winning at half-time.

Still we haven't lost all our chips yet.

Who is feeling peckish?

Crawley just equalised :)

Brentford Winning 2-1 (and therefore Swindon Losing 1-2)
Tranmere Losing 2-0
Yeovil drawing 2-2
Bournemoth Winning 1-0

Not a bad set of results as it stands

And I see the annual Cardiff bottle job is in full swing as well, <snigger>

we're in a better position than before the games without even playing, top stuff blades!

Third place Brentford have 64 points with 9 games left, so the maximum points they can get is 91. Thus 92 points would guarantee promotion. Observers will notice that would not have been enough last season.

More, realistically, if Brentford go on a run of form and average 2 points a game in their remaining 9, that will give them 82 points. I reckon, therefore, that 83 points would more or less ensure promotion this season. Thats 18 more points we need from 10 games - 6 wins and 4 defeats or 5 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats.

Good old Flynny :)

Those results would never have happened if we still had Monty! :)

Pleased Brentford got the winner. Better to have them a point behind, needing a win to pass us, than Swindon a point behind, needing just a draw. Fascinating stuff that goal difference, isn't it?

I'm fairly sure that similar maths last season at this stage had us needing 87 to go up.

Of course we know how that turned out...

Good set of results tonight, I'd sooner have the 3 pts but we have played a game less than the rest of the pack, if we win that we could just about see us and Donny edging away from the pack. What could go wrong apart from we are Sheff Utd :)

if we cant play all our games Im sure we get the points by default , so Im off to flood all the pitches of our remaining fixtures

In 1973-74 season, Exeter failed to turn up in a fixture at Scunthorpe so Scunthorpe were awarded the points
So if we block all roads into the city so away teams can't get to The Lane, our home form improves drastically, we get all the points and promotion is assured! We need a plan!
