Mcdonkey was our joint top scorer last year, we have lost the other one already.
Mcdonkey is 3rd in our squad in terms of premier league experience
Mcdonkey has more premier league goals then any of our other strikers
I'd be inclined to keep Mcdonkey
Christ that just goes to show where our season is heading unfortunately.

Not including the 20/21 and 21/22 seasons, McBurnie's by far the best striker at the club, even with the arrival of Archer. Why would we wanna sell him?!?!

In answer to your question, because he's a salable asset in the last year of his contract...

The word "want" from a fans point of view is very different to the word "want" from our chairman..

we didn't "want" to sell sander or illi.

Our chairman didn't "want" them to leave for free..

Hence why I think, mcburnie and Jebbo "could" be available..

We're very busy at the minute with players, every day another one is rumoured, there are going to be more transfers, probably not all incoming.

Everton may gamble on Jebbo.
Leeds may be in for mcburnie.

Prince will sell, if they come in, just my opinion, based on his own words, which he normally stands to.

Queuing up 😂.

well if we sell both mcburnie and jebbison which i do think is a possibility maybe the move for origi may still be on we would definetly need another striker preferably a physical aggresive type of striker

What about the season before that? And the season before that in the Premier League?
Pace and agility is paramount in the Premier League. If there was a race and all the Premier League players were in it McB would come last. As for agility I'm 61 and I have more. Hopefully when Archer signs we'll have enough firepower to keep him out. Would love to be proved wrong about McB but it won't happen.

Why not get behind the strikers instead of shitting on them at every opportunity. He's hardly been played right, hoof it to mcburnie every time He plays and hope he gets a chance. Maybe with someone like Hamer or Archer creating for him instead of just lumping it to him he might do something. Akpom before Archer was hardly mbappe was he? and gykores had a lot to thank Hamer for.

There's no link I can find for McBurnie to Leeds or Swansea, I know the Leeds one was from someone in Twitter, are people just speculating that McBurnie could return to Swansea if Piroe joins Leeds? I can't see Hecky being happy to lose McBurnie now unless we've got someone already coming in that's a similar type of player, but we've not been linked with anyone of a similar type, more athletic, faster types. I still think there's a place in the side for McBurnie, at least in the squad. Also, last season's squad and team spirit is important to retain a nucleus of them in terms of continuity. McBurnie seems a big player in terms of team spirit/characters. I'd be more ok with Jebbison going than McBurnie to be honest, I wonder if Jebbo is just wanting to play out his contract as he knows that he'll have many suitors from bigger clubs after him next summer.

Not having a go at McB but what manager would be confident buying him with his injury history with us?

He is not even the slowest in the United squad !
He covers the ground quickly in an ungainly manner.
His job is to score goals not run as quickly as Oli B

We could still do with another striker on top of McBurnie - someone with size and physicality to back him up. So selling isn't an option at this point, and it won't be being considered. We'd have no senior, experienced CF, when we could do with 2

McBurnie is probably still a starter btw, even if we sign 2 good attacking mids. Because Archer will probably need someone up there to help him. Akpom might have played deeper but he'd do a lot of CF things to take the load off Archer, physically etc. A level higher, it's likely Archer will need similar. Which highlights what a shame it is we didn't get Akpom. Given the terms of the Archer deal, it would have been extremely affordable

Why we couldn't organise this Archer deal before we sold Ndiaye I don't know.
We'd then have been able to do the Akpom deal as you suggest.
Instead we lost Ndiaye, waited a few weeks, then tried to tickle Villa with a £8m offer.

Looks like Balde is the Akpom alternative. Not blown away by rhe highlights package but he'll improve our options.

He wasn't available until till this week

There was ne need if backstabbing Ndiaye had stayed as he left Hecky, the club, his teammates and the fans to believe including going through the theatre of belittling our Billy by taking his shirt while being recorded. That’s like your holiday company telling you taxi firm taking you to the airport, the airline taking you abroad have gone bust and your passports have all expired but you’ve got to get yourself on holiday thats starts in a week!

Hecky and the club had to deal with that but probably knew about Berge, regardless they were left with 3 wheels on the wagon to start the season. Its likely imo organising Hamer, Archer and Akpom weren’t all in the original plan so it’s not as simple as FIFA94

Was gutted when I heard Ndiaye had left. Almost ruined me jollies when I heard about the video and Billy's number 10 shirt! With Ndiaye, I thought we had an outside chance of staying up. Wasn't so fussed about Berge going. Always thought he was nesh and often went missing in games. However the new additions seem to have improved the squad considerably. Trusty and Hamer come with rave reviews, Sousa looked fabulous vs Forrest, whilst Archer is the best striker we could have realistically hoed for. With a few creative loans I'm confident that we can have a right good go and I think we will improve as the squad gels over the season. If we don't have enough to stay up, we seem to be in better shape for the Championship.

The board may have been a bit shit in the past, embargo, poor communication and letting contracts run down, but with Hecky and McCall's experience, perhaps the club has made the best out of what seemed a bloody bad situation!

You think Kane had power and Pace?

Were you actually being serious?

He's not that slow (he's obviously not quick), just looks a bit agricultural when doing it.
Deadly serious mate, carthorse springs to mind. But I will say he's had more acceptable games than what Berge did.

Got to disagree - Berge was never an 8/10 week in week out., but he's had far more better games than McB.

Berge was also much faster than McB. Also - somebody above said that McB is not the slowest in the team, struggling to guess who that is, do you know?

Egan is probably slower than McBurnie. He also runs and moves like he’s left the coat hanger in the back of his shirt.

All about opinions mate, the fans wanted to see some money spent and that's what Wilder did. In reality the 3 big signings turned out to be awful, McB can play alright in a short passing game and little flicks but he cant run, Berge's 5 minutes every game simply not enough and Brewster even when fit rarely looked like scoring. I think and hope PH's recruitment will be enough to not only to get more points than Derby did but also to just about stay up. UTB
