One thing we should use the financial safety net of the Archer deal for is to offer new contracts

If our permanent deals are done then we've effectively only got a net spend of about 6m - unless we stay up

That's an incredibly low spend and should give us more than enough leeway to do what's needed with the 5 key contracts that need sorting - McB, Baldock, Egan, Osula, Marsh

What would also make it easier is completely ignoring Biscuitson, who won't be better than Osula. Either sell him now or if need be put up with another season of injuries, in which case he can see just how many of Europe's super clubs are willing to throw massive contracts at him....

Biscuitson. Crashingly fucking tedious. It never caught on because its shit, yet you persist with it in your dull way.

Thanks for asking

I took inspiration from the many comments about certain players of ours being 'made of biscuits', and it just went from there

I'm currently working on one for the third pillar of The Biscuit Club, Brewster. Hopefully done within a couple of weeks

What about garibaldister ?

Not including the 20/21 and 21/22 seasons, McBurnie's by far the best striker at the club, even with the arrival of Archer. Why would we wanna sell him?!?!

All these silly words remind me of the Bladeacoaster! (Is that how you spell it?)

I’m going with zero chance of even making the bench.

Another striker comes through the door on top of Archer b4 deadline and Mc will know his number is up.

Very difficult position for the club is this one.

An incredibly saleable asset coming off the back of a superb season of consistently high performance levels, top scorer in a promoted team, who can walk out the door for nowt in a few months time.

Ili wasn’t allowed to do this. Sander neither.

I’ll bet they are queuing up with offers.

Surely ?

UTB
Zero chance making the bench? He's been training for a few weeks and we're very weak upfront. 90% sure he's in the squad Sunday for game time.

We could still do with another striker on top of McBurnie - someone with size and physicality to back him up. So selling isn't an option at this point, and it won't be being considered. We'd have no senior, experienced CF, when we could do with 2

McBurnie is probably still a starter btw, even if we sign 2 good attacking mids. Because Archer will probably need someone up there to help him. Akpom might have played deeper but he'd do a lot of CF things to take the load off Archer, physically etc. A level higher, it's likely Archer will need similar. Which highlights what a shame it is we didn't get Akpom. Given the terms of the Archer deal, it would have been extremely affordable

I'd be over the moon if we got a fee for mcdonkey.
Mcdonkey was our joint top scorer last year, we have lost the other one already.
Mcdonkey is 3rd in our squad in terms of premier league experience
Mcdonkey has more premier league goals then any of our other strikers
I'd be inclined to keep Mcdonkey

I can't see another striker coming in even though it would be beneficial.

It's funny because after we've signed 2x CAMs and 1x ST, there's still 5 more positions fans are wanting..
