After horror start we grew Into the game and could arguably say we finished half better.

Highlights for me:

Souza - Looks more than just an enforcer and can play a bit too

Traore - Dragging defenders all over the place, first class movement and at times caused them to struggle.

Well, after the worst possible start that didn't end too bad. Souza looks great, and you can tell Hamer has something about him. One thing I noticed towards the start of the half was Hamer was pressing really high up the field, but Norwood wasn't moving up to mark the man left in space meaning it was pretty easy for Forest to deal with the press. A bit concerning we're not winning headers into our box, that's usually our strong point.

First half after the disastrous start we’ve got better and for me we look to have a little more balance in the team than we did against Palace

Hamer is a plus and so is Souza, although he’s been a bit complacent with his passing. He needs to pick up the pace a bit more, but that maybe due to lack of games and the pace of the PL

We need a bit more as an attacking force both creatively and striker wise although Osula and Traore have worked hard

If we can keep it the one goal I feel we can get something from the game

I'm sorry, I'll be more positive. Yay, Souza had our first shot on goal after 30 minutes. Is that okay?

It's a public forum. If fans want to bitch and moan tonight because the Blades have been awful all half then let them. I'd rather read negative honesty than deluded glass full garbage based on nothing more than blind faith.
Fuck off arsehole.

Playing oreyt na after Calamity Lowe's air shot brain fart. Hope the lad at the abattoir has a better shot with his bolt gun. Souza is looking a massive positive, positionally aware and not scared of a tackle. Is Benie Traore ready for the prem? Remains to be seen but there's some real positives in his play. Feel for Hamer, he's all about assists and there's no experienced strikers up there for him to provide for

Really liking the look of traore & hamer. Think they have a lot to give once settled.

Benie as a foil for a big 'un like McBurnie might be a real good setup

Souza and Hamer made a huge difference. Just need a bit more up top now.

I know he’s gone & I need to get over it but NDiaye would cause these big problems

Horrible, horrible start. We looked terrified, defence was all over the shop, Anel started really poorly. Men against boys for the first 30 minutes.

After Vini's shot, the lads started to look more composed and confident. Florist aren't any great shakes, they do have the PL nous though (cheating by diving!), which we don't.. yet.

Very positive finish to the half, Hamer getting some nice passes, Benie really coming into it showing some lovely touches, the defence looking a bit more solid. Robbo getting some proper tackles in!

Johnson is a dirty, cheating tosspot, but he's allowed to get away with it. We definitely got the knobs riled up near the end.

Hopefully, we can keep it going into the second half, have no fear of these.

Like a lot on here think Traore has shown some pleasing flashes this first half.

Glad we stopped the long punts forward and started playing a bit, we look much better when we do.

Max Lowe is a total bomb scare, given him quite a lot of chances, but enough is enough surely. Give it Osborn.

Anyone else think that looked like a late penalty on Osula at the end of the half? Definitely got knocked over.

Outside of that, we need to start creating chances and shooting!
I definitely did, certainly in the PL as they tend to give them for falling over a blade of grass!!

Been a massive fan of Wes but he has to be faster at distributing the ball rather than waiting until the momentum dissipates.

Also does anyone else know how that wasn't a pen? He got absolutely 0 ball and just took Osula out.

2nd half, hopefully less of the hoofball and a Max Lowe sub he has been woeful. UTB

Have you had your bottle now and got your dummy back in? Showers of shit you keep saying are new lads getting used to playing together against Forest who played all last season together in this league.

Spot on about hamer deep press but not coordinating with Norwood. Just need more coherence to work as a unit. Our pressing has been pretty good.
