Have a feeling with recent history this is going to be like a Cup Final and the players will be fired up to get a win.

McBurnie (and Bogle) looked fully fit or nearly fully fit McB did a great tackle on Norwood.

Can't see anything but another loss tbh.
It will take time to gel as a team.
Utb ...!

The one team I’m desperate for us to beat this season. Such a shame we play them early on without a settled lineup.

It's pretty bad that we've been allowed to start the season, without a recognised strikeforce in place. People keep talking about the midfield being the issue, "the midfield not creating enough so it doesn't matter whose up front", and that McBurnie and potentially Brewster coming back in will give us a boost (but neither have had a proper pre-season and Brewster's been out nearly 9 months).

Fair enough, with Hamer and Davies and Souza we might have a stronger more energetic and balanced midfield now. I accept that one and I look forward to seeing that on the pitch.

But trusting in a 20 year old on Osula whose never even scored for the first team, and then Traore for all his effort, he already looks extremely lightweight for the level he's playing at but really hope I'm eating my words as ever, because that will mean we're getting something out of him and that's what we all want. But we should have given ourselves a better chance with a more recognised strikeforce than we've got.

Whilst they are way off being premier league strikers Osula, Jebbo and Traore all look more promising than brewster. We just need to cut our losses with him, with the benefit of hindsight it should have been a loan deal with an option to buy not a £20m plus signing that cripples the club, a very shrewd bit of business by Liverpool who won't be activating the buy back clause any time soon!!

Also despite being a fan favourite, Mcburnie is a very poor signing and if we can get the £10m being talked about from Leeds I'd let him go, someone of such limited ability is easily replaced for less

To think we received less money for Ndiaye than we paid for these two jokers is unbelievable..

Looking forward to the pre match beers. Not so sure about the game given our likely line up.
All about Hamer and what the support around him looks and performs like.

From the Guardian’s Friday preview:
“Blades must bounce back
Both Forest and Blades began the season with a one-goal defeat, but the mood around them felt very different. Forest were away to Arsenal and missed a terrific early chance to take the lead, then crafted a lovely counter-attacking goal to give their more illustrious opponents a late scare. Blades, on the other hand, lost at home to Crystal Palace – the kind of game they need to win just to have a chance of staying up – so will be desperate for points and a performance this time. And they’ve got a better chance of securing them that they did, having added Tom Davies and Gus Hamer to their squad during the last week. Aged 25 and 26 respectively, both men are ready to hit their peak, with Davies’s leadership, energy and composure complementing Hamer’s guile, imagination and risk-taking. Suddenly, Blades’ midfield looks a better proposition and though who scores for them remains a mystery, their strikers should, at least, be able to rely on something resembling service.”
