If they're lucky they might get half an hour next match. If we're lucky we might actually see them start a match by mid-September. They need a behind closed doors friendly for minutes or they're never going to catch up.

I'd rather Hecky started them and subbed them at half time, then see that shower of shit line up again and a pointless 20 minutes cameo. We handed victory to Palace before the match kicked off and got what we deserved. Nothing.

The match was lost and we never looked like scoring at any point, so bring them on early instead of defending a 1-0 loss. 1-0. 3-0. It really doesn't matter on game 1. A loss is a loss. What does matter is getting these players valuable minutes.

I get Souza not starting as he's not had a pre-season. I get not starting Hamer as he arrived late yesterday. But Slimane has played pre-season matches. Starting Osborn and Basham in midfield was piss poor.

I've no doubt that Hamer will start against Forest, but I worry that Hecky is a bit like Wilder, and will pick his favourites. Will we see Hamer, Norwood and Slimane, or will we see Hamer, Norwood with one of Osborn/Basham.

I fear the latter and an easy three points for Forest.

That was probably the weakest side we will put out all season, barring terrible injuries, and yet we weren't terrible, we didn't get smashed, we could have easily got a point.
With those to come into the side, Trusty, Hamer, Souza et al, we will be a different animals Forest .
