We aren't finished with our recruitment . That Ndiaye has caused us to be in need of a couple more but we will get over it .
We haven't got key players available but we will get it sorted.

Panic ye not
Why don't you just fuck off you arrogant arsehole. You know absolutely fuck all about football yet keep on posting. Your jam tomorrow bollocks isn't going to happen. It'll be a long painful season that you'll not have to suffer. Enjoy the sun, its pissing it down on London Rd.

The flat 3 failed again and looked more like the invisible 3 when in possession. We are at our best when we play with 10's. If we continue with this formation dark times ahead imo.
It was working so poorly I wondered if we kept that shape to fool Palace.

Stuttgart played a fluent 5-4-1, often difficult to categorise due to some intelligent roaming.

Ten thoughts from this afternoon.

1: It was just a training game.

2: But it was also just a training game for Stuttgart, who, as Bundesliga strugglers, looked several levels above us.

3: Traore—nice quick feet, has some nip about him. Looks very much 20 years old. A little out of his depth. Even littler than Little Ben.

4: Slimane looks strong, with a bit of presence about him, but this afternoon at least didn’t look as agile (physically or mentally) as we might want from a first choice midfielder in that role.

5: Was that our new French lad at LWB, or Predator?

6: Gary Sinclair laughing at the funny forrin name he was unable to pronounce off Stuttgart’s subs’ bench 🙄

7: … juxtaposed with Stuttgart fans shithousing us with English-language renditions of “Sing When You’re Winning” and “Is This a Library?”

8: In our current context, my mind is boggled that posters on here are determined we should sell Berge. He was one of very few who looked in the same class as Stuttgart today. Composed, time on the ball, recycled everything efficiently, with a couple of very smart forward balls to boot, cruised classily through the game. Hope his knee is ok.

9: Anel looks in good nick. Baldock doing reassuringly Baldock things. We thought Wes had a better game than some watchers on here did.

10: Nice to sit on John St for a change (a few rows directly behind Foxy I think?), but looking forward to being back on the South/Currie/New/Laver next week.

Something about masturbation, something about anuses and excrement, something about chimps and how dreadful the club is, a load of adjectives. That‘s my take. Thank you.

Quite possibly, on half way? Was on my tod today (other than those around I know) as the kids would rather stay dry and the other wasn’t well :)

Today just reinforced that our current squad is significantly weaker than last season’s and today’s line up would have struggled against our League One promotion team.

Unless two starter quality midfielders and strikers arrive very soon we are in for a very uncomfortable season. We also need another keeper to challenge Wes but that would only happen with a sensible Premier League budget that offered a fighting chance of survival.

Whilst I know we’re not going to overhaul the team and I know we’re not going to be spending millions I can’t help but think there’s quite a lot to come.

I’m genuinely not looking at us being anywhere near the finished article at palace and think we may need to just do what we can (yes, terrible attitude I know)

Even though we’re not flush I’m expecting a couple of players at a combined £8-12m, 2 loans and 2 free transfers - that is massive, potentially 4 of the above could be starting players.

Whilst at the moment we are far weaker and it’s been a poor summer to date I just don’t believe the club have given up like some people are perceiving.

1 Striker
1 attacking midfielder
3 central midfielders
1 defender

Brewster & RND back fit - let’s give it a kick and see how we get on. I’d rather have lost a friendly to stuttgart than started the championship at Plymouth away today.

I do like the championship though - can’t deny it and I’m more than happy to say a good championship club is what we are ….

But when a chance comes for crack at the premiership which let’s be honest you can’t argue we were the second best side in the championship last season and the lads earned it!

Who knows, we’ve beat some good sides under the lights on a Tuesday nights at BL blades … Let’s have it!

No need for that. I was there today too and saw how poor we were but I don’t feel the need to abuse people.

I wonder if Burnley and West Ham fans are saying similar things after their big defeats to German opposition.

Stuggart looked leaner and sharper throughout the game. Some of our lads looked like they'd been chucking weights about and it's showed with the amount of space Stuggart had and how slow we were to react and turn.

Left side is a huge concern, I hope we don't see the combination that we had today again this season. Osula showed some promise, but his one on one was awful. We created a couple of other good chances (Osborn and Traore) but the finishing was weak. Can't afford to squander at this level we will be playing at.

yes how nice of you to supply the weather forecast . arrogant about what , there millions of expats live in spain , because its cheaper than the UK
I suppose you are aware stuttgart are a side with a 60k stadium , like Arsenal and have won the bundesliga twice in the past 40 years as you claim to know more than me ,
I started watching us when Jones and Birchenall were playing for the youth team , seen us promoted 6 times to the top division
on every occasion we were the weakest team in the division , yet only warnocks team went back down and thats with 38 points and west ham playing ineligible players and getting away with it

saw every home and away game from 1968 to 2009
are you in the 40 year plus club , done all 92 clubs and then some

Congratulations. Yes I'm in the 40 year plus club. What's your point?
