Exactly this. He and Anel (plus George) looked a level above the rest on Saturday and it’s probably frustrating to be in this position every week.

Quality players coming in makes your personal performance and opportunities far more enjoyable and rewarding on match day.

He is far and away our best player now Ndiaye has gone. If we sell him it's game over. We need players on his level to play with him and we'll get the best out of him. Otherwise he'll be off to our relegation rivals and we'll see how good he can be. It would be suicide to sell him but I cant see Burnley meeting the release clause (which I assume is still £35m and active?) or Berge agreeing to the move when surely he's got bigger aspirations than that.

12m wouldn't get us a player with anything like close to the qualities with Berge brings us.
