I don't know why anybody persists in listening to these fucking cockwombles on Twitter who purport to have the inside track on developments at the club.

They can be roughly divided into two camps: Bullshitting twats who make shit up as they go along and fucking sycophants with their mouths rammed full with the cocks of Saudi royalty.

They make me feel almost nostalgic for the days when we could rely on James Shield to bring us all last months news next week.

I'm sick to fucking death of them to be quite honest. I'm quite content just to show up on the 12th August and see which fuckers in the squad I recognise and those who I don't, rather than indulging these media bellends and their febrile egos.

Your last statement is unlikely to be true.

PL clubs don't prepare for a new season in the way we have.
Well most clubs will have loan players go back to their parent clubs. Most clubs will have sold players they'd rather keep. City couldn't keep Gundogan for example. Every club will have injuries. Every club will have new signings who are unproven. Visa problems are not consigned to just United. Maybe some clubs fans all agree, I doubt it but apart from that one I stand by my original statement.

Pathetic, self pitying, so called supporters, who never miss an opportunity to decry, ridicule and criticise. That's another one for you.You and me have no idea how the signings and the season will actually pan out. I honestly thought we'd no chance of promotion last season. I was hopelessly wrong but I'm intelligent enough to know, that football often surprises. For God's sake just give the club a chance and actually support it. Your list by the way, will be replicated by just about every team in the country.
I have to disagree. I just tell it in a way that’s true to me at least. Last season when folk were doubting us I said I thought we had a genuine chance of promotion. When Hecky was installed I said I liked him. I’m pretty positive you can dig into my past comments (I’m sure you can’t be arsed with that of course haha) But this close season is something else. We can’t just sit here clapping like seals when there’s clearly something a miss. The above list you quoted is accurate, I think we can add more to it quite frankly. We don’t seem to be operating like a PL club in any way. Call me pathetic if you like but I’m just expressing my concern. Obviously I draw the line at personal abuse, will never condone that sort of behaviour. But I for one want to know what the actual plan is here? Why are we late with everything? Why are we kept in the dark about everything? Why can’t we execute the basic parts of running a club like shirt sales, sponsorship and dare I say it… paying the electric bill!

I miss the good ol days when if the club did you dirty then all you was worried about was getting in the way of an irate Dad! 🤣
Seriously though… the media circus doesn’t do us any favours at times. And I don’t just mean with the footy! It’s too easy for folk to act like kents these days!

I know that better deals may come later in the transfer window, but we're still acting like a lower half Championship club feeding off scraps doing our business at the last minute.

For once it'd be great if we did our business early so we could integrate the new signings in ready to kick off the season at full strength, it's even more frustrating because we had some winnable fixtures in August.

Because we focus on United so much, then maybe we think other clubs, do not have similar problems. We have signed 3 players and our best player decided to leave. This is not exclusive to United and very much part of football. You know full well we will be trying to get the best sponsorship deal, thus delaying shirt sales. Again, bigger clubs than us have the same issues. We aren't in the dark at all. You know we were in embargo last season and money is a problem. The club have made this clear. I'm as disappointed as you that we aren't richer but that's life. There'll be more signings dont worry and some of them might just surprise us and we might end up a better team. Nowts certain that's why it's good.

No one prepares for a season like we do we must be the slowest club going to get things done.

That’s what us blades do best supporting a working class team, take the piss out of ourselves. You can literally see that some of the list was said tongue in cheek.

I’m hardly going to give up on the club. The preparation for life back in the Premiership has been awful so far, that’s completely undeniable. We’re losing our best player and have a lot of injuries on top of that.

Supporting the club as long as most of us have on here it’s ‘The Sheffield United Way’ & i actually think our fan base is better when everything is going against us.

I honestly don't know, and unless we monitor every teams transfer deals, then it's hard to answer. I would guess most clubs have similar problems as United, it's just that we only follow our team and we are impatient, because we want what's best for it.

100% agree about the fans. That's why its important to maintain a solidarity and actually try to be United. The negativity is draining and does have an adverse effect. That's not to say I don't understand your sentiment but the more this club gets me down, the more I want to support it!

I do appreciate your response. And don’t get me wrong, I’m hoping we get some new boys in too! And I’ll support them no matter what 👍

And I appreciate anyone who supports United. It's all we can do at the end of the day. Its our club, and players will come and go, but hopefully we will always have people like us, who love the club. UTB👍

Don't come on here talking sense.😉

last few posts sum us up as fans perfectly and amid all this adversity and doom and gloom i think the lane could be rocking again this season were even bigger underdogs to survive now our top players gone and thats when blades fans are at their best we have to get back to making the lane hostile and intimidating towards all these big teams that will be coming

The word "fortress" gets heavily overused when talking about certain grounds, but if we can get the lane anything like it was in our 19-20 season, it hopefully will do wonders.

So we've been told for weeks by PA's propaganda machine that we've someone lined up to replace Ndiaye should he go.

But he won't be in before Palace? 🤔

Can't be THAT 'lined up' then.
Unless of course we stepped away under the belief we didn’t need them because Ndiaye we signing the new contract and now we’re playing catch up? No idea of the truth but thought I’d throw a bit of balance in.

Good point

Traore has gone from being a “player to develop over the early few months of the season” to being thrown in first game hoping he can fill Ndiayes role. Wow no pressure son.
He won’t throw Traore in after only 48 hours at the club - our only fit striker is Osula and our only creative players are Berge & Slimane - as Shankly once said , we’ll be lucky to get nil

In that case best we can do is go full Warnock in the prem, one up top, pack midfield and try and Nick something on a set piece.

Will McBurnie or Jebbison be fit in a couple of weeks? Are we going for Osula up top? I’m assuming the 1 will be Traore, unless there’s an issue with that - hoping not. (EDIT - didn’t realise Traore had signed formally)

Frustrating as Palace and Forest are two games we need to try and get something out of.

If this is correct then we will almost certainty create nothing and not score against Palace.

If we sign only one player between now and the glorious twelfth , that is tantamount to negligence by the club , which has had at least 3 months knowing it would be competing in a higher league and had signed thus far only one player who is ready for the starting eleven ((Slimane) …
Whilst having released numerous players , lost numerous loan players back to their parent clubs and had several players continue to be long term injured.
We simply cannot afford to throw away the chance of collecting elusive points from the very first games , three of which are 6pointers because they are against relegation rivals.
My 55 years of loyalty is being royally shat upon and the owner cannot pretend otherwise.

I reckon that when quoted one more in before palace this was already said with the intention that trusty is already nearly done.

The additional signing prior to palace is Tommy Doyle

Well it fucking shouldn’t be, he should be a given and we should be bringing in at least one attacker.

We’ve sold N’Diaye ffs what ever happened to not selling until you have a replacement lined up

Aww, bless.
