Prince on Sheff United Way

I invited him to speak to Sheff United Way. He's the owner of the club. I'm not happy and I want answers.

I could ask him my own questions. On my own. From my own brain. That's easy. OR I could take the harder route, as we did before, and get the questions from you, our fellow fans.

Who else is doing that? Has the club's own channel offered you that avenue?

However, please could you consider asking who the poster named Andy67 is on this forum. just pull out all his posts and present them. He clearly “knows stuff”. Ask P A which present or former member of the club staff is leaking like a rusty sieve and whether what he says is true.

If I was Hal or Nick I'd rinse the club of every freebie they offer. Tickets, merch, interviews, exclusives, reacharounds, whatever. How often do these opportunities come about? I feel there's a lot of jealousy out there with plenty wishing they had a podcast/youtube channel allowing them to mix it with the club.

I've personally never accepted any gift nor would I.

I don't wish to paint the club in any light other than the truth as I see it.

That wasn't clear and I have to defend myself.

Nick actually paid for his tickets for Wembley I recall him telling me.
Anyway it shouldn't impact his impartiality any of the opportunities that he's accepted, I also believe that the award ceremony was through a sponsor he's pals with, nothing to do with the ownership. Nick is a Blade who wants the best for the club first and foremost.

We don't leak targets. We wait until they are out there from our sources like journalists. The Bladesman is usually where I see what's out there already.

All our videos on new signings go out after the signings have been confirmed.

We have multiple sources that share information with us. We don't share the majority. We do share info if something has happened that the sharing of said info won't impact, like Ndiaye leaving. He decided that days ago. We sat on it and then we spoke about it when it was all over social media and he was already in France.

My main questions are;

1. Why are so many players out of contract next season and how many have extensions that we can trigger?

2. Why have we got such a pitiful amount to spend on player recruitment in our most important summer since 2019/20? Where has the supposed cash windfall for promotion to the Premier League gone?

3. I'd like to become involved in the everyday running of Sheffield United. Would a degree in clowning help my chances?

4. Many of our fans have £2 in their wallets. Will you sell the club to them for that? After all, you'd have gotten your money back and an extra 50% on top. Many then this club might be run by someone who ACTUALLY cares about it.

(You can keep United World by the way, as no one cares about Who Gives A Toss Rovers in Belgium, Tin Pot FC in India and Who The Hell Are These Anyway City in Turkmenistan.)

He's taken it upon himself to become this oracle of all things United and be the one source of information and truth about the goings on at the club. There are thousands of Blades on Twitter and many will feel the need to reply when the stuff tweeted either sounds a bit dubious or, as has been found, completely contradicts something else which he's said.

What it feels like he's saying is "Look, I have the truth here and I'm happy to share it with you...but if you want to question it too much or if it's not appreciated then I won't bother". It's fantasy stuff to expect that he can tweet things out and have his replies stuffed only with people patting him on the back.

If he does end up not bothering (again) then that's absolutely fine. Nobody asked him to do it.

Unless they did, of course.

I think your point is valid. Can a channel with those sort of ties be impartial enough to get the answers we want? I just think having a go at the channel shields The Prince from criticism somewhat.

I'm on the same page but I don't think it shields him from criticism. I think it instead shields him from vitriol and unjustified abuse some throw at him.

Hence doing a video interview but not a live stream. Although apparently he wanted to do it live so if there's any shielding it's a by-product and not deliberate.
