So. There is no change.
Iliman has no intention to leave us. Negotiations between both parties are still live (on release clause figures only). Whether that takes a couple of days or a couple of weeks, I have no idea but player is happy and we are happy. 3 year deal, significant signing fee and salary are pretty much agreed, as they have been for 10 days nearly now.
Nickos tweet a load of smoke for clicks. Likely lead by a mutual agent. Neither Iliman and United are in a rush on this. He will likely be at the game tonight if he's not playing. However indications are that he might actually be down to play tonight. Hope that's true to calm down the fanbase.
If he has no intention on leaving us why not accept the release figure we want to put in then ??So. There is no change.

Wants to stay but wants his options open should something crop up in a year or two say and doesn't want to find himself tied down by high release clause. Perhaps a cautionary tale has come out from Berge over that.If he has no intention on leaving us why not accept the release figure we want to put in then ??
Why 2 weeks of negotiations for something when you have decided to stay

Which is what I’m saying, why two weeks of talks when the 10 min conversation should be I want to stay but release is this, if you don’t like it then I’m not budging so let’s just leave it at thatIt’s not really hard to understand - happy to play here but doesn’t want us taking the piss if he excels this year. Or if we get relegated
He holds ALL the cards. He bet on himself and is in a position to do what he wants for his career. This is where we are and he knows he can go for free and get a kings ransom signing on fee and a huge pay rise in 12ms.
The guy talks nonsense constantly and never gives a straight answer or honest prospective on anything. He doesn't deal in facts, he offers loose speculation at best. I fully appreciate that's what journalists do for a living but today's comments are intentional efforts to stir the potThat’s just factually incorrect
We have Fleck and Ozzie though! We will have a very poor midfield if Illiman and Berge leave ...................never mind we can muddle thru.
Four top players lost in months McAtee Doyle Berge Illiman...........thats a big hole of QUALITY to fill.

My thoughts too. My take is the player doesn't want to leave but his French agency and advisors are reluctant to commit at the moment in the hope OM up their offer to what is acceptable to SUFC. Focusing specifically on the release clause suggests they don't see IM seeing out his 3 year contract and are planning his next move probably in the next 12 months should he sign. The Club are well within their rights imo to stand their ground on the release clause bearing in mind it is suggested they are offering the best ever contract to any player in the Clubs history. At the same time looking at alternatives such as the Georgian player gives the impression we will not be held over a barrel. Interesting to see who jumps first. If he has no intention on leaving us why not accept the release figure we want to put in then ??

Ozzy is a LWB, nothing else. Fleck is just nothing. We have Fleck and Ozzie though!

His job is to publish transfer rumors--there's a huge market for it because a lot of fans enjoy the speculation. As such, he has a big audience; agents and clubs know that they can reach that audience by feeding him bits and pieces of information, thereby influencing the market and public opinion. He probably doesn't get enough such scraps to fill his column (or his Twitter feed) so makes some stuff up or publishes things that are a bit more tenuous. He therefore gets some things right and some things wrong. Treat him as one source among many. The guy talks nonsense constantly and never gives a straight answer or honest prospective on anything. Not many sides after gaining promotion sell there best players... oh hang on a minute this is sheffield united were talking about, you couldn't make it up if you tried!!We will have a very poor midfield if Illiman and Berge leave ...................never mind we can muddle thru.

Sell illy & berge and were fucked end of!!Simple maths for me.
Keep Illy and we have a better chance of staying up and securing more premiership riches, (£100m plus) if he leaves now we get say £15m which we may well re-invest but have a much slimmer chance of survival.
Agree to whatever he wants!
Marseille ain't the kind of place to raise your kids

Cant be arsed reading it anymore. Just let me know when he's signed or gone. Nobody is bigger than this club.So is he now saying things have changed?
