No it’s not
No?

Because you've got a lot of classic dramatic tabloid language in there, but no actual information.

They're in private negotiations which he knows nothing about. Meanwhile it's easy to say there's a stumbling block because nothing is signed/announced yet.

Yawn. I really think it's just an easy story to fill his shit quota for the day.

He’s pinpointed the stumbling block in negotiations. He’s telling us the next 24 hours are vital so we’ll have to wait to see if he is vindicated.

The only lazy thing is the people that constantly slate Nixon when he clearly has an inside track on things.

Anyone of us could have written that if we'd been asked to. It's being discussed endlessly in this exact thread.

Nixon hasn't tapped our phones. Or has he...

Like that time he "confirmed" United were signing Forestieri?

Then it's not relevant if he signs a new deal then if the release clause his agent wants is unreasonably low.

Of course it is. It’s the difference between keeping him for a year or losing him now and accepting relegation

How low would you want the release clause to be and I’m not talking for the one if we get relegated? I think his agent and advisors are taking the piss a bit with what they want. That’s not the only factor constant persistence from Marseille aswell is playing a factor obviously.
You forgot to post what the release clause actually is. The rest of the above is just a random collection of meaningless twaddle.

I'd be pushing for no release clause if we stay up. He can go for anyones money if he does well this season.
I agree, but to put yourself in Ndiaye's shoes. In that scenario if we stay up, United could reject every offer they receive.

I think United are being realistic and know that he is definitely leaving next summer, if we stay up or down, so we're trying to maximise our return on investment

United are saying £35m release if we stay up and £15m if we go down (just plucked out of the air)...
Ndiaye's agent knows that at £35m it restricts the possibilities for his client. Only elite clubs may be willing to pay £35m and Ndiaye may, or may not be ready for them given how his season goes.

If the clause is say £17m and £10m. It brings a whole host of clubs to the table

Who said anything about £5mil?
You obviously didn't read the words 'what if' as well as not answering the question of whether we just give in to the demands.

My preference ? If he wont sign, keep him anyway

And it's not worth to us the new contract at that price

Just have a lower release clause that cant be activated in the first 12 months, then we get at least a year of him and don't risk losing him for nothing in the process 🤷‍♂️
And if the agent won't agree to that ?
