are you simple? I said I know about contracts and in particular commercial law

You spouting on as if you know is laughable

I don’t know the particulars about his contract nor does anyone else on here, and the fact is you don’t so stop talking shit as if you do.
I think you need to read the posts again.
Are you saying one of the two scenarios is impossible because if it is that answers my question. Can this be an effective 3 year deal or a 4 or not?

I’ve never once suggested I know anything about this deal but that’s already cleared your head.

You were talking as if you knew for certain. He got annoyed and said you were wrong. You then started effing and blinding back. That’s all it is.

My first post on this said I didn’t know which is why I asked a question, why would it be a question rather than a statement?
The important information is it a 3 year extension or a new 3 year deal. If it’s the latter we’re back in the “do we need to sell” even if we stay up. Fingers crossed for the extension.

A reported 3 year deal could run for 3 years or 4, if it’s in addition to the current one, that’s true. I merely wondered which one it was.
If it can’t and that is impossible then I’d very much appreciate the education, but Mr Angry isn’t obliging.

Talk about making a mountain from a molehill and I’m still non the wiser.

In the comment he replied to, not your original one, you were talking as a statement. He probably didn’t see your first post. And now we’re here. I don’t know why I’m trying to act as peacemaker but sometimes things seem to escalate here for no major reason.

It is a fact though that some contracts are reported, “x player has signed an extension until 2027”. You’re right that was a statement, they can be and have been reported as that.
If it’s cannot be done in football as per Gaf then I’m being genuine about being interested buts he’s now not elaborating or sharing his knowledge about it.
Ultimately what I’m really interested in and what my question clearly asked is when the new deal expires. Does that make it any clearer?

I’m trying to deescalate, why are you angry with me. Christ.

The relegation release clause will be very very minimal. No way will he want to fall Into the Berge trap of setting it too high.

That being said, still nice to have him for at least one more season and not lose him for nowt.

According to Lequipe he's had a change of heart again.

They must have someone from the Sun tapping his phone or some brain implant or summat.

Let's hope Fabrizio doesn't get wind of it.

What's the chances that he wants to stay, his family wants him to stay but his agent wants this move?

All signs all day suggests he's staying then in the last hour he's suddenly changed his mind? Hmmm.

It makes so much sense for him to stay. He seems like a decent, grounded lad. He's obviously happy here. Sure, he could have gone to Marseille this summer for a big payrise, but in terms of his career it doesn't make much sense. He'd be moving to a nothing league, where only 1 club is realistically going to win it.

The alternative is he gives us another year. If he continues to develop and get better, then next summer, even if we go down (and he has a good season) there will be far bigger and better offers coming in than Marseille, for a player who has (hopefully) shown that he can perform in the highest quality league in the world.

I'm a bit behind/out of the loop on his contract negotiations, but I'd hope the club are throwing the lot at him. Give him the number 10 shirt, make him the highest paid player we've ever had, do it all. He is potentially the difference between relegation and survival for us. He is by a country mile the best, most talented player I (and most others) have ever seen play for us. We're going to lose him at some point, he's going to end up playing at the very, VERY top, but if we can keep him for one more year, and he keeps us up, then he can go on to wherever he ends up with my best wishes and thanks.

Even Marseille fans on the tweet think it's bull.

It must be utter shite for him to change his mind again and want to leave

Someone get on Facebook Marketplace and have a check

It seems like a last minute roll of the dice from their end or just something to appease some OM fans.

No way they sign Auba and then get him as well, must be trying to sell papers

He said, looking at his DH Gate Ndiaye order in panic

I know Chelsea are letting Auba leave for free but OM are still going to have pay him silly wages to sign on with them. Which they already are doing that with Sanchez.

Half their squad - Auba, Payet, Sanchez et Al- are big name players so must be on huge wages so realistically can they afford to bring in Ndiaye is the biggest stumbling block to all this

It's only been a week or so since this media circus started, but it feels much longer, and the longer this drags on without him signing the new contract, the worst these types of rumours are going to get.

I appreciate that there will be things still being ironed out, but we really need this one putting to bed.

If they're actually signing Aubameyang... Well I don't know. I was going to say, does Iliman think that's a good signing...?

Alexis Sanchez was out of contract btw and it's unclear if he'll stay.

Ndiaye in 9 months:

Couldn’t have put it better myself.
