They only signed him last year.
He also went on trial with Charlton last week.. who obviously didn't fancy him.

As others have said they might not be the case if there’s interest from other places players tend to play the field a bit and see what club feels right. Obviously this guy would be a first team squad player so it’s slightly different but when we signed Peck he had a trial with either Oxford or Cambridge (can’t remember which) before coming to us on trial and they’d definitely have tied him down to a deal if they could.

Or they couldn’t get close to his wages, or they moved onto other targets when they heard of other teams that were interested, or he told them it wasn’t for him.
Or, we’re in for him so he must be shit. :rolleyes:

He’s a bit old to be signed purely as a developmental player we’d have to think hes capable of being on the fringes of the first team squad otherwise no point signing him.

No chance. He's played 5 times for Weymouth and that's his entire career!

Maybe the U-21s are short of a LCB?
 
Some CB's don't reach their potential until their mid to late 20's, there's plenty of time left for this lad to improve and I'd trust our scouting system for players of his age as much as any, we've had some gems come through us that other clubs have cast off because they thought they weren't good enough

Wouldn’t have thought so unless we’re loaning a lot out they finished the season playing a combination of Barratt, Pitan, Potter and Freckleton plus there’s Gomis as well who was at Beerschot.

More likely if he does come here that he comes in and we maybe loan him out. 20 is a strange age to bring a player with his experience in given you’d want a player to be knocking on the door of the first team at 21/22.

Maybe, but given Bournemouth picked him up at 19 you'd think there must be something about him.

Yeah I’m not saying he’d be a bad signing I’ve not seen him play he’d just be a weird age to sign him and then stash him in the 21’s

He's currently unemployed.
 

Finally, something of note!
Any ITKs want to claim that this was the guy you saw last week at the lane but didn't want to ruin the club's chances of signing him?
 
We once had a Francis who finished up at Bournemouth and helped turn them round and he became a legend as they climbed the leagues.
It would be nice to think this lad could do the same for us.

Anel is 6’2, and he’s clearly taller than Anel in that picture, even with the perspective.
 
Like this type of signing, if he signs of course. Played in the non-league, spotted by Bournemouth and he's clearly got something about him hence the interest from a few clubs. Hope he does well and merits a contract. We're not flush with left side centre halves it seems either.
