I was absolutely buzzing about this one...
Until Roygbiv dropped a spoiler about his View From, hinting that his current teams fans don't like him.

He has the technical ability and physical attributes to be Prem quality.

There was a reason some of the biggest clubs in world football were chasing him pre-covid.

However it's his consistency and determination which has some question marks.

Let's not forget he's still young (22) so hopefully he's starting to mature and Hecky can get him firing on a regular basis.

The one thing that hecky (and the rest of the staff) are, is good coaches who improve players. Tactically I think he has shortcomings, but in terms of coaching and improving players, he's very good.

I reckon Hecky is one of the best coaches in the country.

As a manager I have some reservations but if we did ever get a new manager I hope Hecky stays on as a first team coach.

Seriously interested why you have those reservations regading Hecky's managerial qualities Jono? He seemed to manage all the off field trials and tribulations that were pushed on him last season as well as coaching the team to promotion. No mean feat. Injuries, lack of finance especially unable to strengthen in the January transfer window and a glaring lack of accountability at ownership level.

Why are we pretending we know anything about him and that we know what sort of standard we are measuring him against in the Danish premier?

SSN to report his arrival on his private jet later today for his medical, a la Geordie style!

I don't think you can come to a conclusion around this until a player has left the club.
Therefore Brewster can't be considered in that list until his contract has expired or he's been sold.

It doesn't take away from the point being raised though.
Yes he can. Brewster has shown nothing to warrant his price tag.

Is it just me that can’t help think of Eminem’s song “Marshall Mathers” at the moment?

“Slim Anus, Damn right slim anus,”. I’ll not quote the rest of the verse, being as it’s full of homophobia. Of course, this may have already been mentioned in this thread, as I know many Blades are fans of Eminem and the targets of his anger in that song, Insane Clown Posse.

Can you change your profile pic to Troy McClure belting out 'Made a Monkey out of Me' please?

You'd become the forum username/avatar champion 🏆

Just in case people haven't seen the article, this gives the lowdown from a Danish journalist, but seems many are expressing the same views anyway on here. So he's technically gifted but not the fastest or most dynamic, sounds like Glyn Hodges! I know Hodges will be very different to Slimane but I like the sound of the deal of these rough diamonds. We know we can't spend the money to sign players who've excelled somewhere else in Europe and will command a huge fee, but he looks to have the quality required at least, something most of the signings we made last time at PL level didn't. I did notice that he's had more clubs than Jack Nicholas at youth level, that made me think was he high maintenance at that age group, but ultimately if he comes and wants to make a name for himself then we could have a real gem on our hands.

Seems like the sort of signing that Wilder would have stayed clear from although he must have known on some of the issues with Mousset, but of course he was based here and therefore had played two seasons on these shores, albeit without many goals.

"Dear Slim, I wrote you but you still ain't calling
I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom
I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not've got 'em..."

Not sure Mousset was a CW signing. Thought it was behind his back and forced on him.

Technically if he could emulate exactly what Mousset did (the good and bad) he’d go a long way to keeping us up…

But I know what you mean.
I’d take another mousset for 2m if he does the same in the first season

Not sure about that as he mentioned that he spoke to Eddie Howe regarding his availability and what he was like at the time.

Don’t think so remember Wilder saying we’d chased him for a while and even tried to get him on loan the summer before the promotion season.

Brentford not bad at picking danish players to P.L. 7 inns from that league or something...
