Kyle Walker

He's probably got 3 years left as a footballer, we've got at least a year in the PL. Thems the FACTS. Facts. facts.

He comes to us, he's a PL footballer for at least a year. He'll play every game that he is fit for. If we stay up, he's a PL footballer for another year and he'll play every game that he is fit for. If he does that, he'll make the England squad.

If we go down next season, he can happily move to a club like AC Milan/Roma/Inter/MLS and have 2 seasons of football on a high wage.

If Kyle wants to play for us, in a competitive manner, then next season is his only window of opportunity. It would more than likely involve a wage reduction of 66% on his part, but sometimes, somethings are more important than money.

Loan Walker (with contract if we stay up) Buy Doyle (with a buyback to citeh) McAtee will play for them the kid is certified DIFFERENT GRAVY. ⚔️

Piece of piss this transfer malarky.

A bump of what, coke?

You'd have to be on the stuff to think we had a chance of getting him, surely?! 😯
He's in Kyle walkers boot and his gps is telling him the car just turned up at BDTBL.

Little does he know Kyle sold his car to Connor Sammon yesterday.

Lad just played in the semi final of the Champions League.

And wasn’t dribbled past once by one of the best players in the world recently.
A few weeks ago i did think there was a chance we got him back; Guardiola was teaching him a lesson for is latest escapade; suggesting he didn’t fit in the system anymore, we were on the verge of promotion… the stars were aligning.
Then he stars at the Bernabeu.
No chance - still an elite level Right Back.

i dont think this is as unrealistic as lots on here are saying ok wont be next season but if by some chance we stay in the premier league i think kyle would come back to the lane dont think money would be a major issue although obviously he would want a decent wedge

Walker has generational wealth already. He’d obviously earn more elsewhere but it’s not like he’d really be able to spend it in his lifetime. Spurs couldn’t afford to keep him so he’ll be on absolute mega money.

It’s about whether he’s ready to come back home or if he fancies another challenge at a level above the blades or if it might impact his England selection. Or just wants to play for us.

No shade on him either way. It’s his career and he’s basically won everything there is to win. He’s not likely to have many regrets whatever he does.

Wonder if city win the CL this season might sway him? Is that the only thing he hasn't won club wise?

i genuinly believe him when he says he wants to finish his career with united he knows we wouldnt be able to pay him owt like the money hes on now hes not stupid although think we have to stay in the premier league for him to sign for us in 2024

Aye
Although not won a Championship winner / runner up medal (yet?)

Or, for that matter a League 1 play off semi final - oops apologies- wrong side of Sheffield - my bad

If we atay up and Walker runs his contract down at city, I'd offer him a 1 year contract, wirh an option for a second year, £25k max, we don't want another Jags situation where we're paying a ridiculous wages to have him on the bench, another Wilder waste of money

i would offer him a 2 year contract on 30k a week would be a fantastic signing even at his age but of course we have to stay up next season to have any chance of getting him

He said he wants to finish his career here.

That's very different to saying he wants to come here when he could still be playing for one of the best teams in Europe, still playing for England, and still earn at least three times what we could possibly offer.

There are some on social media who should talk to Frank if they think there's even a sniff of him coming next season.

I've been saying that we need Man City to win the CL to stand a chance of getting him. Just thought. If they do, he'll want to play in the World Club Cup won't he.

We'll have to get him in January instead

I think with his wage and bonuses and sponsorships and stuff, KW currently earns about £230k a week. A. Week.

Next season the way things are going, that would pay for our starting 11 for a week.

‘Kyle Walker playing for Sheffield United again’? File under ‘Things that have fuck all chance of ever happening ever’.

He's arguably the best right back in the World. No chance of us signing him until at least, his contract runs down with City. Even then, it may be a long shot. Hopefully City win the Champions League; as an earlier poster said, it's the one thing he has left to win and might be more open to coming back here once his contract runs down.

No chance of him signing in the next 24 months. At least not whilst he's still at the elite champions League level.
He will want to win as many trophies as possible in the next 24 months before his powers start to fade abit.

This could work for both parties once his contract has run down if he really wants to come. 100k a week is equivalent to a £5.2m transfer fee. A 2 year contract on 100k a week would be half of what we paid for Brewster !

It's the same as spending 5m on a different 'unproven at premier league' defender and paying him 50k a week. Walker is proven at premier league level and still one of the quickest players in the game. Biggest question is does he really want to come

He might play for us again.
But it won't be until he's about 36 and ready to wind down. He's still one of the World's best in his position, he's miles beyond us.

I could honestly see him coming at the end of his city contract if we stay up but no way he's giving up a guaranteed 160-200k a week.

Still have the small matter of finishing 17th or higher next season anyway.

If we stay up he will come. He's getting on now and pace is a huge part of his game. Nobody will be signing him for much at his age and he's said for years he wants to come back

He may well leave on a free, but he isn't going to walk away from 100k+ a week for sentimental reasons. He will have big offers, I wouldn't worry about that.

He's said for years he wants to. It's not like we have ever been likely to pay him a lot 🤷‍♂️ not many players come and say what he has unprompted for years. I think he means it.
