Previous owners always seemed happy to accept ANY offers for players if it meant getting some money in.
So that at least is one benefit from having HRH in charge compared with any of our previous owners (as far as I know!)
 
Sounds like he hasn't got any players scouted incase he doesn't sell, could be a very uneventful summer transfer window at the lane.

Abdullah has overseen a league 1 title and 2 promotions to the PL in 4 years.

McCabe oversaw a promotion to the PL in 06 and a relegation to the champ and then league 1.

Hang on, they were joint owners when we went up from League One, and our first promotion to the PL (I think). And you missed out the relegation from the PL overseen by PA.

Owt to make McCabe look bad from me. Can't stand the bloke. I never thought he had the clubs best interests at heart. He was a Kevin McCabe fan first, Sheffield United fan somewhere else down the list. And upon that joint owner when we went up from League 1, rumours were that McCabe didn't want to spend the money that PA did. Rumours only. But believable.

Burnley turning in their accounts late isn't exactly comparable to us turning off the undersoil heating because we can't afford to. Do you think it's normal that a club receiving parachute payments has been on the brink of administration this season? How on earth can you accept that as normal?

As for the £5m - I checked the accounts. So did an accountant (one who isn't best pals with the Prince). This is what he said:



The Prince has hardly invested any money into this club. He has badly mismanaged us and left us on the brink of administration during a promotion season. Money is vanishing from the club and he is being praised as a great owner.

We're incredibly lucky that we have a set of players and staff who can do their job properly, as opposed to the absolute shitshow behind the scenes which has been going on for far too long.

You're referencing something from nearly a year ago, which discusses accounts up to 2021. I don't know how much The Prince has put in since, but if I was trying to establish the amount to the present day, I wouldn't use this as evidence.

Let’s see, Companies House or Swiss Ramble. His £5m comment was made in May 2022. He seems to have missed the £15m put into shares in February of that year. Neither him nor the Princes actual accountancy friend are immune from incorrect analysis of the accounts or referencing post balance sheet events.

Comments such as “l checked the accounts” or “l’ve done my research” mean little. The “research” consists of stumbling across the first thing they think backs up their assertions. No need for them to look further or at up to date info.

It’s not not understanding accounting principles that makes people look thick. It’s pretending they do and posting as such.

His inability/unwillingness to invest this season, is making us a laughing stock, and I can only see it getting worse.
He’s a shrewd cookie, and he needs to bite the bullet, reduce the price, our value will tumble anyway, and forget the nonsense he spouted recently that he’s looking to retain an interest, as part of a deal to sell the club.No one will want to buy under those terms.
Feel sorry for Hecky and the players who have been handed an impossible task by him.
 
I wonder if the Saudi Royal Family who own Newcastle told him we should lose on Sunday and lose by some margin. I remember some conflict of interest things going on at the time of Newcastle's take over?

The reality of that would be that the management and possibly players would have to be in on it to carry out those actions onto the pitch.

Don't see it at all being true.
