Yep - I'm the same. Since they stopped selling tickets there hasn't been any overcrowding at the back of the Kop whatsoever. And it was a total non-issue to begin with.I sit in one of the gangways which I assume has led to these sanctions within the back 10 rows (not giving exact location in case the seat gestapo are on here)
Since the rules were brought in by SAG I've not seen one single issue of any overcrowding or gathering around the gangway entrance/exit at the top of the kop. There's also been no issue with regards to people being 3 to a seat and this was never an issue that I've seen in the first place. In fact there a a few dozen empty seats across the rows now which I assume are not held by season ticket holders.
To say there's been no improvement to warrant removing these sanctions is absolute horseshit and I don't believe for a minute that anyone from SAG/SCC has looked for any improvement. As people have said they can see there's no issue from the other side of the ground so fuck knows where there looking at it from.
The one thing I would question around the statement is the part about losing £30,000 a match. Would the attendances be any bigger if the kop was open for Coventry or Hull? I think we'd have got pretty much the same attendances it's just that more of the BLUT was occupied than normal. If anything we might have made more money than usual due to the extra cost of sitting up there compared to the kop.
The whole situation has been badly managed from the start. It is incredible that it has come to this at all. When Sheffield City Council, SAG and SUFC are all in the same room it is inevitably going to be a total fuck up.
