Please correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding of the current situation is this.:
- If we don't clear the debt the transfer ban will apply for three windows.
No, that’s not right.

Year left in summer I think. He's also on a relatively low wage as it's his first pro contract. Probably about a 10th of what Sander is on. Which makes everything a bit more sticky when people wonder what the benefit in signing a £50k contract a week with a shit EPL side over staying here and letting his contact out.Does anyone know ndiayes contract status ?
Is it a year left in the summer or a year with an option
If it’s just a year I would say £25 mill could be the best we will get
I don't think it's as low as you think. But needs to be higher for sure.Year left in summer I think. He's also on a relatively low wage as it's his first pro contract. 4k a week. The original deal he rejected when CW was here was 1kI don't think it's as low as you think. But needs to be higher for sure.
Something that may also work in our favour is that he is settled with his wife and child here I think.
I think it might be partly why he is willing to wait till summer too. Whether that bears out come.feb 1st who knows.

No guarantees in football though. Look at JOC. If Ndiaye is earning £5k pw with us he'll be on that money for another 18 months. Sure, he'd likely have much more options but could easily have a really bad injury or a huge loss of form.Depends what agents he has in his position you wouldn’t sign a contract IMO
If he was a free agent he’d have the pick of most of them Prem if he is tied down to a 4 year contract with us he doesn’t as we’d want 30 mill

His stock is high at the moment. Possibly the most eye-catching player in the Championship and just off the back of a world cup. However, we saw how little impact he had against England. If we go up and get spanked next season, which is fairly likely, then his stock plummets.
I suspect if he does sign another contract for us there will be a relatively low release fee. You can see how Sander's release fee has scuppered his chances of leaving. I bet he regrets that now.You are probably right which is why most players want up leave ASAP
Hopefully he signs a contract with a fair release clause then no one loses
Selling players isn’t a bad thing look at wendy/Everton they never sell players and ruined there clubs because of it
I’ll let him off for everything else he’s done this seasonStupid boy, messing about because he thinks Wrexham are shite, gave the ball away and then they scored
Maybe the much maligned (by some anyway not me) Stephen Bettis has had a chat with the Prince and told helped convince him that he is better served backing the managemet team and the squad and not selling our star player when the riches of a return to the PL is tantalisingly close. Some on here are in the past have been quick to put the boot in on Bettis (not sure why myself as I've always thought he did a decent job for us) so it would be interesting to know whether the conversation he had helped sway the Prince to reject the offer.![]()
I have a bit of inside info on Steve Bettis.
I was assured by a very trustworthy source a few years ago that Bettis is "a genuine good guy", "excellent at his job" and "a real asset for the club".
I've never met Chris Wilder but during his interviews he seemed to have some genuine affection and respect for him too.
Although I suppose it's all about context and semantics. Also he might have changed now?
PA must be the worst asset stripper in history - he's absolutely useless at it!
Anyone think Andy67 is a double agent. Getting info out to the new owner that he’s prepared to sell to get out the embargo. Forcing the new buyers hand to put more money in before it’s completed so the new owner can keep all the players as are his wishes?Wonder if Andy67 can offer an explanation of how all his recent "in the know" predictions regards PA desperate to sell off Berge and N'Diaye haven't happened.

Ask tazzy he'll know if there is a conspiracy theory.Anyone think Andy67 is a double agent. Getting info out to the new owner that he’s prepared to sell to get out the embargo. Was it a theatrical gesture by PA to instruct Hecky not to play Berge on the assumption we would win the game regardless whilst sending a clear message to buyer?Now21:04
Everton had £25m plus add-ons bid for Ndiaye rejected by Sheffield Utd
Sky Sports News has been told Everton had a £25m plus add-ons bid for Sheffield United’s Iliman Ndiaye rejected earlier in this window, as they looked to bolster their midfield options.
Sheffield United owner, Prince Abdullah, decided he did not want to sell either of the club’s prize assets - Ndiaye or Sander Berge - despite being involved in a protracted takeover at Bramall Lane and being under an EFL transfer embargo.
Everton refused to go beyond their valuation of Ndiaye.

Bettis is just an employee for the club under Prince. As far as I'm aware he hasn't been any of the issuesI have a bit of (rare for me) inside info on Steve Bettis.

Also these complements were in the early part of his SUFC career, he might have changed now, gone stale, lost his mojo. Who knows?
