Also the crossbar seems quite saggy. Not sure if it’s an optical illusion or not!
that was hodgy who did that used to swing on that crossbar every home game and yes there must be people still living who recognise themselves from that photo we used to stand higher up on the kop just to the right of the goal

3 - 0 august 1971 outclassed em for the 2nd time within a year and once again leeds came unstuck trying to come round and get on the kop although they managed it 2 years later when 5k of em were on the kop at 5.30
Walked straight into a bunch of Ferrell weeds after going through turnstiles and was immediately set upon , punched kicked and scarf less within seconds no Bobby in sight never been so freeetend in my life 😕

Correct, Wright and Colquhoun. Description says it was 13th April 1970.
13th April 1970 was a night match

The below was Viila's home kit for 1969/70. Did they ditch it before the end of season?

Played in this kit1978-79 Alex Sabella.jpg and what's Conroy doing the Hokey Cokey.
Aldershot, everybody who's anybody in British pro. football has played for them up to around 1960.
Even our neighbour, of 55years, played for their reserves/'A'or'B' teams when he did his National Service, he is now 93, so that'd be1947.

Would that be Charley Hurley getting up to a cross into the Blades box?
David Munks attempting to assimilate a footballer, fouling the opposition and, it could be the bad photo, recon he has his eyes closed. Had high hopes
for the lad but it wasn't to be.
I think it’s George Kinnell

Don't know if Villa started wearing a new kit for that game. Here's another photo, described as the Villa players after that same game against us. Chico Hamilton on the left.

Not sure who the Sunderland player is. Blade1959 says he thinks it's George Kinnell. Yes, David Munks. Think the match was played in October 1967.

The team that night was

Interesting, they must have ditched the kit during the season thinking it was unlucky. Yes, Chico Hamilton, Pat McMahon, Doug Ellis, John Dunn and Willie Anderson
