Milan Misun - Czech, 22, 6'1" and can play centre back or left back

Google translation:

Twenty-two defenseman Milan Mišun he was going into the third English league. A talented footballer, one of Viktoria Plzen, is near the exit to Sheffield United.

Mišun already worked in teams Glasgow Celtic, Dundee United and Swindon Town, now heading for League One. Sheffield, who last season came in the finals of the playoffs to advance to the second division, showed a great interest Mišun. He spoke in Pilsen, the player belongs, and toured in the spring in Pribram.

"Clubs are against the agreement. Milan until the end of the week will travel to England for a medical examination and should sign a contract with annual hosting options. He meets with the coach Wilson, who had brought him to Swindon," said the player's agent Ondrej Chovanec.

Rob Saton just said expect a signing before end of the week, I assume so! About time!

Was just about to post the same about that tweet. Looks like there might be something in that rumour.

From Wiki...

On 28 January 2011 Mišůn apparently joined League One side Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee - however, it was later revealed he had not officially signed a contract.

Another dodgy fax machine?

"The club (Celtic) had high hopes for Misun, but his time at Parkhead was plagued by injury problems and after failing to establish himself in the first team, he left for Swindon in January this year, purportedly for a six-figure fee.
However, he suffered a serious knee injury in his first week of training that ruled him out for the remainder of the season and it remains to be seen if Town fans will ever see him in a Swindon shirt."

According to Wiki he's only played 8 league matches in the last 3 years.
Apart from that, he sounds ideal...

Kin ell!

The plot thickens...

"Milan Misun has quietly slipped away from Swindon Town… its almost as if he was never here…
After ‘joining’ for an undisclosed (reported to be a six figure) fee on 28th January 2011 - in one of Danny Wilson’s final and desperate last throws of the dice in the transfer market; Czech Republic defender Milan Misun suffered a reoccurrence of a serious knee injury and never played.
It later transpired the injury plagued Czech footballer had never signed a contract and was only seen at the County Ground once, being paraded with Jordan Pavett before the 0-0 draw with Exeter City on the 29th January 2011.

But there is news…
On the 6th February 2012 Milan Misun joined Czech side FC Viktoria Plzen as a free agent.
He was then immediately loaned to fellow Czech Gambrinus liga side and his hometown club 1.FC Pribram for the next six months.
Seeing that Milan never signed a contract at Swindon he leaves without a word from the County Ground hierarchy.
Importantly, the club have never cleared up the circumstances of his arrival. Did we pay the reported six figure sum - i.e. lose money – to Celtic for a player who never appeared in the red or white of Swindon Town?
For Milan…at least you’ve recovered from the terrible injury and all the best returning to first team action back home."

Bless you Misun. Sounds like he's been passed around Europe like an unwanted puppy.

Milan until the end of the week will travel to England for a medical examination and should sign a contract with annual hosting options.

Relax - he's only coming for IT support. Maybe Foxy is going to use him for something

It may be cos Misun is cheaper than Hill. The gamble is his fitness.
It's the sort of signing we can expect from now on.

:tumbleweed:

I expect there will be lots of clauses in there incase of injury. Which given our recent past is prudent. Hopefully this will mean the end of the Hill rumours.

Now lets sign some strikers please!

Should be signing today if the medical goes to plan, according to Paul Walker on Twitter.

Loan deal??? can't we sign a player that might want to give his all for the club

He's got a career to relaunch. He'll give his all. Then when we sign him permanently he'll stop caring.

Surely a loan is better given his incredible injury record - & one that allows us to terminate early if he gets injured again. It sounds like he was once a decent prospect - but playing only 8 games in 3 seasons due to injury is a bit worrying!

Just a question but do we still hold John ebbrell's registration? We might be able to get 30 mins out of him

The real Question is.. what did Celtic see in him, to sign him?

i hope he signs and does well,! ill judge him by performance if he makes it through pre-season:( (got to be better than hill?)

Erm, yeah think this is the guy. Seems a bit of of a character...

2.40 - Better finisher than O'Halloran at least

Two things:
1) That's how they should settle penalty shoot outs.
2) Did anyone see the video of the guy that scored a goal then ran through a building site to celebrate a month or so ago? Skip to 2:42. is that the place?
