£10-15m? With 18 months left on his contract....they had better un-table it then.
It's worth far more than that keeping him.

Conversation goes:

"We'll accept your 15m with one change"

"Great. What's that?"

"You also include Martinelli"

"That's a ridiculous offer."

"Well, you started it!"

😁

Think his ambitions will be well above anything we can offer even if we get promoted. Unless the sale of the Blades is along the lines of Citteh and is concluded before JTW he won’t be our player in February imo.

I look forward to a takeover going through and before my season ticket is handed back to the big man in the sky I would love to see players like him wanting a move to us not away from us.

I still think he will sign a deal. Even if we go up. With clauses for top 6 clubs, minimum fee etc.

From Utds perspective - I would be asking for at least the equivalent of what Wolves got for Gibbs White. Even with 1 year left. He's still worth that imo.

After rescuing his career from Rising Ballers via Boreham Wood.....
Just pointing out that it's not like we've treated him like a prince from day one. I'm sure he's grateful, especially to the current manager, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't want to leave is a top flight club came in for him.

Worth noting that very few Championship players go for more than £20 million. Especially without the 'English' premium.

He's an academy lad so he wont leave on a free. Given his now proven pedigree the tribunal fee wouldn't be insignificant and would be loaded with add ons. Accepting 15 million in the January window would be a white flag. Accepting a release clause at that number would be similar; there is little benefit for the club in doing that. If he doesn't sign we'd easily realise that in the summer providing he stays fit and effectively shop windowed. If double that starts getting waved about and the kid is desperate to leave then serious discussions will happen. The same with any release clause.

The above says that HE has committed to US until 2024.

Given that we usually have a 12 month option in OUR favour is it possible that he can't actually leave until 2025 without our agreement.

Just asking a question so if anyone comes back with clever or arsey replies, I won't bite.

Merry Christmas Everybody.

makes sense all round he gets a better paid contract while hes with us and gives us the power to determine any transfer fee of course it is possible a get out price is put in the deal

I don’t think we’ve got an option unfortunately from what journos have said recently.

Have a good Christmas too 👍🏻

He more than meets the criteria to be counted as a homegrown player so the 'English' premium applies.

The requirement states a player has to be at English or Welsh clubs for a minimum of 3 years between the ages of 15 and 21, regardless of place of birth or nationality.

A quickly glance suggests Ndiaye was at English clubs for somewhere between 4 or 5 years before he turned 21.

Who is going to sell him in January -HRH or the new owner!
Not the brightest thing to do during a ownership change.

Might mean that when Ndiaye wouldn't agree to our contract offer we made him train with the kids?l The one he is on now..
Wilder had him training with the 1st team he was that good .After that cameo at Leicester he disappeared! Probably due to his contract situation.
Don't know for sure but my guess is ! Not signing a new contract the club decided not to give him the opportunity to play with his contract running down he could have left anytime that summer .
Giving him a platform to show his skills !,clubs would have been alerted and pinched him on a free .Blades new they had a potential player on there hands ,once he signed a new contract the Serb brought him into the squad
Can't blame the club for holding him back until he signed then given his head and the rest is history.
I think he would have gone for peanuts that summer.
The talent was there and
Prem clubs would have taken a punt on him if he had had his chance before he signed.
I could be totally out of order here!
At least if he goes now we will get a good price .
I would be disappointed as he can become a great player ,love watching him in action ,entertainer( bums on seats).

If sold in the JTW we'd get 25 million but if we're promoted we get 120 million a season.
Also even at the end of the season he still has some value in the transfer market, maybe 15 million.
So it makes sense to keep him until the end of the season, then we know where we stand financially regards wages we can offer.

However if N'Diaye makes it clear he intends to let his contract run down and even if we promise to offer him a massive contract he still says he has no intention of signing and we receive a bid for 35 million and have a 25 million bid for Coventrys Gyokeres lined up then it might make sense to sell in January.

We are under no pressure to sell but doesn't guarantee he won't be sold
It just means we're in a strong position, so he won't be sold unless the transfer ins and outs benefit SUFC.

Sessegnon
Bowen
Watkins
Godfrey
Bellingham
Benrahma
Ramsdale

All well above £20m

That’s just off the top of my head from the last 3 seasons. There’s dozens that sell between £15-20m as well.

And if you look at players from relegated sides, like Ake who was £45m and Wilson for around £23m, there’s plenty of £20m+ players coming out of this division

Not many go for those amounts with only 18 months left on their contract though

Anyone sniffing about yet? I haven't seen one report which makes me err on the side of optimism...

Several posters in shoutbox have sold him to several clubs, maybe a share deal with each club having him on alternative weekends.

Iliman is a very sensible guy. He has seen that United have not held him back with his dream of getting into the Senegal side or getting match time at the World Cup. That has helped us immensely, I feel. There is none of that Berge coach for Norway vibe. Missing out on the squad might have hurt us. The way it went really worked for us.

He has come back refreshed. Instantly to play. He clearly enjoys it and is focused 200% on playing.

I can’t see why a move in January would appeal to him. With our great position, where is a team with more game time, better status, fan legacy and a bigger chance of winning something (if you class promotion as a win on a CV) within 5 months??

The benefits of money or greener pastures are all still there in six months as long as he believes his current levels are his genuine class and not a purple patch.

He would have to be forced out or exceptionally badly advised to leave this JTW in my opinion. 😇

Agree, also hope he'd be happy as our star player for a season in the Premier League (if we got promoted). We wouldn't want him to leave on a free, but then again, maybe it'd be worth the loss if he kept us up (if we got promoted).

Hopefully he signs a new contract any day, and we have him for at least another season and a half before making a big profit.

And ideally, dear Iliman, you stay for 5-10 years before heading to Marseille.
