CONFIRMED Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille

Ndiaye is in a strong negotiating position. What I think will happen, and what Lundstram should have done, is he'll sign a new deal on much improved terms but insist on clauses to enable his sale in the event that top league sides express and interest andmeet a minimum threshold in their offer. Due to Ndiaye's negotiating position, this figure will be much lower than would normally be expected i.e. £15-20m.

Of course, should Utd go up, they could offer further improved terms in a bid to keep him
I think that's exactly what will happen - we'll offer him a big pay rise back-dated to the start of the season, and possibly extended for another year. That way everyone wins - he gets more money whilever he stays with us, but when someone matches the release clause he gets his move, with another pay rise and probably a signing on fee too.

The January window will provide an idea of how much he is worth as we will no doubt receive offers. This will then enable both parties to establish the criteria for his release clause.
It would not surprise me if we have not already received offers.

Unfortunately we don't get to know ... when a deal does go through it usually says undisclosed

What's in it for us to give him more money and such a low clause? 25 to 30 of we don't go up I'd get but 15?!

It negates the risk of him leaving for even less - the reason why the club are considering selling him in summer if he doesn't sign.

A top player from the championship to the premier league is 20 million now days. Or we could even do what Blackburn have done with Diaz and run down on the contract if needs be

Iliman struggled to get a break. Plenty of trials at other clubs. He'll be thankful to us and won't screw us over, even if his agent suggests it

I know this is a forum, but constantly debating what might or might not happen, with no idea as to what the actual outcome will be, seems a bit like monkeys on typewriters hoping to write a shakespeare play, definitely a miserable one

Would be fucking boring forum if we were only allowed to comment on facts...

It’s definitely be one of his tragedies.

Don't know what happened there but this site is playing up on my phone.

Mouth the only problem with this theory is his agent will be looking to get him out of here so he gets a big pay day. The biggest pay day for him is with a big signing on bonus amd mega salary

RND in the casino last month told a friend of mine that when Ndiaye first joined us he was made to train away from the first team & on his own for 6 months. He says illiman will never forget this, he won't be signing a new contract & will be leaving in Jan or the Summer

When he joined he was part of the academy not the 1st team squad. The academy lads do not as a rule train with the 1st team....

Yes I thought the same. He was training away from the rest of the team whether academy or 1st team. This has come from RND

Wasn't that in the middle of covid? There's mention of him training on Herdings Park in the video we put out during the world cup.

Either way, I doubt RND is revealing club secrets to your mate.

Might mean that when Ndiaye wouldn't agree to our contract offer we made him train with the kids?l The one he is on now..

Heard tonight from a good source (I trust them anyway) that Arsenal have tabled a £10-15m bid

It wouldn't surprise me. I think we'll struggle to hold onto him. We treated him pretty badly to make him sign a contract. We saw how Lopata reacted.

Yep, that may be his rep's strategy although to maximise a signing bonus and salary he'd have to be out of contract and therefore stay at Utd until summer 2024 - Utd shouldn't/wouldn't allow that and if he refused to sign he'll be sold in summer.

If we don't go up and he insists on not signing I'm confident (after the Ramsdale going on strike saga) that we will get the maximum amount for a player of his ability in the last year of his contract.

£20 million+, plus clauses on apps, goals etc

If we go up then I'm sure he will sign.

Think his ambitions will be well above anything we can offer even if we get promoted. Unless the sale of the Blades is along the lines of Citteh and is concluded before JTW he won’t be our player in February imo.

I look forward to a takeover going through and before my season ticket is handed back to the big man in the sky I would love to see players like him wanting a move to us not away from us.

I know he's going to go. But I'll be so gutted. He's that good. I'll legitimately be pissed off that in 8 years time there isn't an advert for Nike or Adidas that documents his rise from Sunday league to winning the champions league with someone like Barcelona.

Illiman will also never forget that we gave him his big chance of course.....or at least you hope he wont

Personally I think it will be very difficult to get anything like for a player with only 12 months left on their contract especially if Utd don't go up. Let's just hope Utd make it up.

Ramsdale still had 3 years left.

The most interesting thing is how certain the prince feels over the takeover bid. If that fails then we’ll sell him in January as it sounds like we’re desperate for cash. If he’s confident that will go through I doubt he’d sell our best assets as it makes the clubs value go down
