Bizarre? I don't care at all about international football, it interests me not one jot.

If any of them are playing I'd sooner our players did well than any national team, including England. It may be the country of my birth but I wasn't born in Sheffield either and yet I support Sheffield United.

I doubt I'm the only one who thinks like this, so I hope you realise now it's not as unusual as you imagine.
I agree
Hope he runs us ragged
Utd over England every time

If we win against senegal. Then we play on 10th December 7pm in quarterfinals against prob france or argentina. Thats the same day as huddersfield at home. Obviously wewant Ili available for that.

Very strange message...... everybody on here should want England to win if only for the fact that it means our number 29 will be free to play in our next game.
Just saying would love him to run England ragged. How many Blades have any of us seen in our life time have a major influence on a World Cup tournament. Huddersfield is one match treat we should win regardless.

If it costs the one dimensional yes man his job then everyone’s a winner

Phew, what mixed emotions? Those of us who see Illi, week in week out, can see his potential. We see it, I really don't think he is too high up the radar yet. He still has a way to go, but he certainly could do so well, Messi style. England, I also have mixed emotions. It's my nation, my country. I should really want them to win. I always used to be so passionate for England. But these days, I feel disenfranchised. Southgate and Co have caused this imo. Pretty boy media favourites seem to be his choice. Negative, not let's get beaten attitude. Not the lions I remember, Gazza's era. So being a blade through my heart, I am true to "my tribe". I really want to see Illi do so well, like a son of the blades family. But against England? And all the potential repercussions if he tears them a hole? I sort of hope he does, and announces himself on the world stage, as a true Blade. One up the arse for the premiership lovvies, that a championship player from SUFC, of all clubs, shatters England's dream team🤣. But I'm English ffs. There you go, fucking mixed up.

I want England to win, obviously.

but if we lose, I'd like it to be Illi that scores the winner. Obviously.

I do hope so, but if he has a blinder against England, I think a different class of Prem team will be in for him…Not just the scabs.
If we play like we did tonight in the second half they’d be lucky to get in our 18 yard box. Looked shit hot, reckon we’ll stuff em Sunday 😎

My thoughts on this are that Ndaiye is a professional football player who, at club level, plays for the Blades and will do so until a better offer comes along. I see him as one of our current players but that, IMO, does not make him a Blade. When representing his country he is Senegalese, a country I have no affiliation to at all.

Meanwhile, representing my country (England), are 2 real Blades (Walker and Maguire) who have both left in the same way Ndaiye will, but are known to be Blades in the same way we are.

I struggle to understand why I would want my country's team with 2 of US playing in it, to be beaten by an African team just because they have one of our current players playing for them - and worse case scenario is that if Senegal do progress, we may hardly see that player play for us again because he would return later and could even be sold in January.

Stop

Stop talking sense.

England have never been beaten by an African team..

But, who knows, I hope its a good game and the best team win on the night..

I know one thing, anybody thinking this'll be easy better think again, I watched Senegal yesterday, they're giants and never stop running..

We were playing an ageing Wales side who lost to Iran ffs, England very average, Senegal much stronger and better than sheep shaggers

Don't think people realise the implication of this.

England playing Senegal is potentially a disaster for Sheff Utd.

If N'Diaye plays really well, then we're much more likely to lose him.
With other clubs aware he will soon be available on a free transfer then his agent will receive massive salary offers.
It will force us to rip up salary policy to stand any chance of keeping him, which I can't see us doing.

If he has a crap game we keep him, get promoted and once he signs his realistic contract
if he does perform really well in the PL then we can see him for a massive amount and re-use those funds to make us even better.

Surely the order of loyalty should be
1st United
2nd N'Diaye
3rd England

If this is the case, then ideally we don't want N'Diaye to play, let's hope their manager uses him as sub.

I hope Ndiaye plays well , hopefully scores, but England win.

Then we've zero chance of keeping him.

He's approaching the final year of his contract, so one could say he's hardly our player and will soon be a free agent.
With no transfer fee to pay, then paying a player £50K a week or even £100K a week, is cheap by PL standards.

I want him to have a fantastic game but get subbed at half time fully fit and England win. Zero mixed emotions for me. We need him back.

He’ll rip Luke Shaw a new one if exposed one on one ! We’ll double up on him and force him inside.

Expect a quiet game from him as their possession will also be low.

England 2-0.

Personally couldn't give a shit if he plays, and if he does I hope he's wank along with all his teammates, I mean I'm English and he's playing against England so not quite sure why anyone would feel any differently regardless if you follow the national side closely or not. I'll support the bloke when he plays for Sheffield united, that's it, not for Senegal and not for whoever he is playing for next year.

Not fussed who wins, just like to see Illy do well.
If he gets chance in his natural position there’s every chance he’ll give England’s defence some problems.
