Whichever force he was at he certainly spent a lot of time in the canteen.

That’s were the crooks, misogynists homophobes rapists thugs and lazy twats in the Police like to hang out. Oh, and the Masonis Hall and S&M dungeons for the senior officers.

Evening all……

Just an observation from the kop; Rotherham were standing and blocking every gangway in BLLT last night for the whole match and the stewards were doing nothing.
The Millers fans, for some reason weren't spreading into the seats as they should've. My partner is a Miller and she said the stewards tried to stop them getting into the stand as the aisles were blocked, obviously no one took any notice. She ended up standing in an aisle and when they scored ended up 10 rows down. Said it was like the olden days.
And she's got the bruises to show for it. 😁

That copper saying if you stand up causing trouble frowning flairs. I have been going on the kop for years. I stand up never been arrested for anything.
same for 99% of other fans. what he said is an insult and should retract the silly statement. or get his brain in gear before he opens his gob.

Looks like the club are just going to have to shell out the cash for some SYP to sort this kind of stuff out, if that means we get the ticket sales back on the kop it will pay for its self.

Away fans can stand where they want mate it is just us scumbags that are not allowed.

The Rotherham fans were doing what a large minority of Blades fans do at many away games

It's probably fairly universal among many clubs, with away fans isn't it.

Different clubs, different levels etc but away fans seem to have more leeway, don't have such an easy threat of club bans (not FBOs hut several names say), season ticket holders in many cases etc.

From my observation the problem is accentuated when the away end is full. I can understand fans wanting to be with their friends but with the loyalty point system it's not always possible to get seats together. Personally I don't mind being by myself but I can understand younger fans wanting to be with their mates.

So have I read this right Sheffield Council effectively stopping around 2.5 to 3k tickets being sold by SUFC denying us a fair bit of gate receipts?

Wonder if they are doing the same at Hillsborough which will almost certainly have similar issues?

The club need to grow a pair and tell them to stop interfering. No other Police forces / councils seem to routinely interfere like Sheffield/South Yorks with another football club or business. SUFC need to tell them to get on with more important issues.

So we are now being forced to have a few thousand empty seats every game?

Surprised the club don't take legal action as genuinely not sure what jurisdiction the council have. The health and safety thing seems bollocking. Other clubs have a line of stewards between away fans. We have ridiculous restrictions imposed and just accept it. We own the ground not the council not the police.
Not many sitting down behind each end, at any of the World Cup matched.
"Are we being victimised".

Should make kop unreserved seating but you have to sit in correct block

It wpuld clearly make the situation worse as fans would sit where they wanted to even if that area was full
Well ok sit wherever you want but if your in gangways instant ban first come first served but anyone not in a seat instant ban

When people behave themselves and sit down there will be more SEATS available..... doh!

Would be ironic for Qatar to care about people’s safety anyway.

The problem comes when the Kop is a sell out or very close to a sell out, like it's been several times this season.

It will be like playing musical chairs, you go to the toilet for a leak, then when you come back your seats gone.
Also imagine not being able to find any empty seats anyway, there would be quite a lot of people going to stewards asking them where the empty seats are.

Also how are seats allocated to season tickets identified or aren't they allowed their chosen seat? It would put loads off from renewing their season tickets.
Then if ST holders are allowed their seats how is that identified and what happens if the season ticket holder fails to attend, can someone else sit in his seat.
What if the season ticket holder is stuck in traffic and arrives 20 minutes into the match, to find someone else sat in his seat.

It would be a total nightmare.

Yes, yes, yes.
But apart from all that, can you be more positive about how to successfully implement a system that benefits those who don’t want to follow the basic rule of ‘sit in the seat you bought a ticket for’.
You know, the rule that thousands of other people seem to be able to cope with. 😉

It was just a suggestion how could there be no spare seats available if it is unreserved seating and sold to capacity there won’t be 100 people get on with no tickets. Could even give an incentive in that if you arrive early and get in a seat you get a free hotdog or beverage at half time

In what sense of the word do you mean "sit?"

It wouldn’t Batman believe me it’s called due dilligance identify the problems and resolve the issues simply and effectively

First come first served BUT allocate long standing season tickets seats which are made of gold if anyone is found in them they’ll get a lifetime ban for sheer ignorance the rest of the seats first come first served it’s so simple

but effective

Let me see if I understand this correctly, you don’t want to buy (row xx , seat yy) you want to buy an unreserved seat in a block (any seat in KB3) and you say thousands of other people cope with this.

At the British GP if you buy a weekend ticket you get a named seat for Saturday and Sunday and a roving seat for Friday (any grandstand).

On the Friday, the place is less than half full and I’ve seen dozens of arguments and fisticuffs twice over the best seats.

These are good natured and well-behaved F1 fans.

Imagine the scenes 10 minutes before kickoff in a coked up pissed up Kop.
