Love Ndiaye but can’t want him to knock England out. He can score and I’ll be happy for him but would still want Senegal to lose. That and the longer they last in the tournament the longer we have to do without him

Just for the sake of transparency, I may have stated I'd like Ndiaye to score 4, make it 5, but then I'm not English.I can't get my head around people being more loyal to Ndiaye than their own national side.
I don't mean this as a huge criticism, but Ndiaye will look after himself & his agent before thinking of us. He won't be in a rush to sign a deal out of loyalty to SUFC. If something bigger / better comes along he will jump, just like Ramsdale.
And we will all still be English long after he has left us.
I like the kid. He seems to have a good attitude and he's the type of player you pay to watch, but that's where it ends. If we can't match his wage / career aspirations, that will be it.
I’d say it’s odds on that we are going to play each other in the second round.Just for the sake of transparency, I may have stated I'd like Ndiaye to score 4, make it 5, but then I'm not English.
Given that the two teams are not going to play each other, it's kind of academic.
Never fully understood betting, but if 'odds on' means it's more likely it will happen than it won't happen, I'm not convinced. Will England finish second in their group?I’d say it’s odds on that we are going to play each other in the second round.
Nope. We need to stop thinking one of our employees is more important than our national team. It’s embarrassing! We sound like scousers. For balance... How about Iliman scores against England but is on the losing side.... That please everyone??? Probably not but its a win win for me....
The winner of England’s group will play the second place in Senegal’s group, and the winner of Senegal’s group will play second place in England’s group. England should win the group (although by no means guaranteed) and I expect Senegal to finish second behind the Netherlands.Never fully understood betting, but if 'odds on' means it's more likely it will happen than it won't happen, I'm not convinced. Our national team have been a joke for close on 60 years with the odd flutter of hopeNope. We need to stop thinking one of our employees is more important than our national team. It’s embarrassing! We sound like scousers.
England are the strongest side by long way in their group, and Senegal are well behind Netherlands but miles ahead of Qatar and Ecuador, so on paper it's the most likely scenario.Never fully understood betting, but if 'odds on' means it's more likely it will happen than it won't happen, I'm not convinced. All irrelevant to this debate, I agree with your comments but not when we are discussing our apparent excitement of losing to a goal from one of our players. Our national team have been a joke for close on 60 years with the odd flutter of hope
Again We have a manager who is stifling talent with his cautious walking football and 2 holding midfielders one whose played one premiership game this season
Soon as we play a decent team we go into not conceding mode of we’d go for it I’d be more rooting for them as it is I couldn’t care less about them
But no doubt after our 4-1 win in our first game the media and blinkered supporters will be drooling
That'll be where I'm going wrong then as I can't see why Netherlands are considered stronger than Senegal in the first place even without Netherlands ability to implode.England are the strongest side by long way in their group, and Senegal are well behind Netherlands but miles ahead of Qatar and Ecuador, so on paper it's the most likely scenario.
TBH I actually think Senegal will top the group cos the Oranjes are never far away from a monumental fuckup. You've also got the curveball of the host nation in the mix.

His contract has 2 years to run we are looking at renegotiating and extending itAs already said....the better N'Diaye performs them the more likely we'll lose him, so it might prevent us from gaining promotion.
Even if he doesn't play particularly well but scores a spectacular individual goal like away at Fulham last season,
it puts him right in the shop window and he becomes world famous overnight.
and we won't even receive that much of a transfer fee either, as the argument is he's coming towards the latter stages of his contract.
In real terms....it's N'Diaye versus Sheff Utd.
Which one do you have the most loyalty towards and want to succeed the most?
Personally I always put my club before any player.
The way some people are talking, if N'Diaye was sold to Leeds then some of our fans will be trying to buy season tickets for Leeds United.

If he has a great World Cup and his value goes really high, then that is great news for SUFC. If we go up, he gets offered a vastly improved deal, if he takes it we win.I can't get my head around people being more loyal to Ndiaye than their own national side.

1 decent player outta 6 according to most on hereThe majority of our best players deals expire 2024; McBurnie, Ndiaye, Berge, Egan, Norwood, Baldock...
This is the most ridiculous comment I've ever read on this forum. That's some feat.Does anyone think we'll smash our salary cap and offer him £100K a week?

You must be on drugs.I’ve made a point and supported it with facts,
You’ve made a point but given no supporting evidence or information.
Are you able to discuss why paying N’Diaye £100K a week is ridiculous?
Are you suggesting that when McBurnie and Brewster were at Swansea they were both better propositions than what N’Diaye Is now?
Think you’re being ridiculous if that’s what you think. N”Diaye has far more potential.
Most people on our forum rate N’Diaye much higher than McBurnie or Brewster, so naturally a club is willing to pay more for better players.

He's a talent, but £100k a week? He's had half a good season at Championship level.
I think Ndiayemania is a bit much amongst our fan base (and social media team).
