Our defence is continuously putting each other in trouble. So sloppy and needlessly. Every pass is too hard are behind someone or ridiculous. No idea what Egan was doing for their goal. Standing around. Surely Wiles is his man? Lucky not to give a pen away at the end with a clumsy challenge from Stevens. Crap all over the pitch but the midfield needs to be a lot better. all 3 having a mare. Little sticking upfront when it gets that far.

Looks like Stevens ran into him. Very clumsy. Hard to tell if he was looking for it, which seems odd because I score from there, or there was some contact that put him down. Either way, we got away with one.

Would it be remiss to suggest Rotherham have been quite impressive?

Defended set-pieces well.

Passed the ball on the floor capably.

Kept it tight until an opening broke their way.

Kept our two forwards quiet most of the game.

I'd rather they not turn their losing run around vs ourselves but they don't look a team that will finish anywhere near the bottom three on this showing.

Meanwhile, we look lethargic, everyone is taking a second touch. It's not quick enough. Hate to say it but United's best hope of winning this game was to go behind. It's the absolute rocket we needed. Otherwise it could have just meandered to 0-0. No choice but to show more urgency now.

You see I just don't get this. It doesn't matter if you or I or any supporter would switch to a back four, we just don't do it, don't practice it or rehearse it, or even have the players to play it, so why even mention it?
We play with a back five, end of.

Think the fact that both Anel AND Robinson were on Egan's left was the problem, not Egan himself. Stevens is utterly woeful, gives up 50/50s, fuck up for the goal and a stonewall penalty, whens he contract up? Please soon prefer Brooks at this rate at least he shows some athleticism
